    1.1 H earing safety

    DangerTo avoid hearing damage limit the time you usethe headphones at high volume and set thevolume to a sa e level. The louder the volumethe shorter is the sa e listening time.

    1.3 General maintenance

    To avoid damage or malfunction: Do not expose the headset to excessive heat. Do not drop your headset. Do not allow your headset to be submerged

    in water. Do not use any cleaning agents containing

    alcohol, ammonia, benzene, or abrasives.I cleaning is required use a so t cloth, inecessary dampened with a minimum amounto water or diluted mild soap, to clean theproduct.

    About operating and storage

    1.4 Remove the integrated battery

    I in your country there is no collection /recycling system or electronic products youcan protect the environment by removingand recycling the battery be ore disposing theheadset. Please take the battery to a batterycollection and recycling location.

    Removing the battery will destroy the product.

    Make sure the headset is disconnected rom thepower adapter be ore removing the battery.

    You can remove the battery by completing the

    ollowing steps.1 Tear o the ear cushion o the le t earshell.Remove the screws that hold the speaker

    plate in place.Remove the speaker plate.

    A mobile phone that is capable o Bluetoothstereo streaming, i.e. that is compatible with theBluetooth A2DP pro le.

    6 Get started

    6.1 Charge your headset

    Be ore you use your headset or the rst time,charge the battery or 6 hours or optimumbattery capacity and li etime.

    WarningUse only the original USB charging cable. Usinganother charger may damage or destroy yourheadset.Plug the USB charging cable into your

    computers USB socket and connect the chargercable to the headsets charging socket.

    CautionFinish your call be ore charging the headset, asconnecting the headset or charging will cut anongoing call.

    During recharging the LED indicator will showa red light. The LED will turn o once chargingis complete. Typically a ull charge will take

    our hours. You can operate the headset duringcharging.

    TipYou can save energy and protect theenvironment by unplugging the charger a tercharging is complete.

    6.2 Pair your headset with your mobilephone

    Your Bluetooth stereo headset must be pairedto your mobile phone be ore connecting andusing it or the rst time with your phone.Pairing will establish a unique encrypted linkbetween your mobile phone and your headset.

    Pairing has to be done be ore using your headset with your mobile

    phone or the very rst time, or a ter pairing more than 2 Bluetooth devices

    with your headset. Your headset can store upto 2 paired devices in its memory, i you pair

    more than 2 devices the oldest paired deviceis overwritten. Pairing is di erent rom connecting as

    pairing typically only has to be done once,whereas the phone and headset need toconnect every time one o the two deviceswas turned o or out o range.

    To pair your headset with yourmobile phoneMake sure the headset is charged, your mobilephone is turned on and its Bluetooth eature isenabled. Check your phones user guide to learnhow to turn on Bluetooth on your phone.

    1 With the headset turned o , pressuntil the LED starts blinking red and bluealternately. The headset will remain inpairing mode or 5 minutes.Pairing typically involves a ew simple steps

    outlined below, please check your phonesuser guide or details.

    Access a menu on your mobile phonetypically called Setup, Settings,Bluetooth or Connectivity. Select the

    option to discover or search or Bluetoothdevices. A ter a ew seconds your phoneshould indicate that it has ound the PhilipsSHB9000.

    4 Upon selecting the Philips SHB9000 onyour mobile phone typically you will needto con rm the pairing and enter a passcode.Please enter the headsets passcode 0000( our zeros).

    A ter success ul pairing, the headset will connectto the mobile phone. You will hear a long beepto con rm success ul pairing and the headsetsLED will change rom fashing red/blue toperiodically fashing blue every three seconds.

    7 Using your Bluetooth

    stereo headset

    7.1 Connecting to your mobile phone

    Turn on the headset by pressing until the LEDlights up. Once turned on the headset will re-connect automatically to the last device it wasconnected with. I the last connected device isnot available the headset tries to reconnect tothe penultimate device that was connected tothe headset.

    I you turn the mobile phone or its Bluetootheature onafter turning on the headset connectthe headset rom your mobile phones Bluetoothmenu.

    7.2 Automatic power saving

    I your headset cannot nd any Bluetooth deviceto connect to in range within ive minutes it willautomatically power down to save battery li e.

    7.3 Operating your headset

    To control the headset youtap, hold and double tap theheadsets buttons. A tap,hold and double tapdi ers in the duration andspeed o the button press.

    7.4 Wearing yourBluetooth stereo headset

    The headband is ully adjustable to customizethe t to your liking. The so t slow recovery

    oam cushions provide excellent sound sealingand long lasting listening com ort.

    You can twist the earshell on its hinge or single-sided listening or DJ mixing and monitoring.

    Bluetooth stereo headset

    .1 Use with the audio cable

    You can use your headset with non-Bluetoothenabled devices or on airplanes (in which theuse o Bluetooth may be restricted) by takingadvantage o the headsets audio jack. Cordedoperation does not require battery power

    or music listening. The microphone and theFullSound digital sound enhancement will not

    work via the audio cable.

    Finish your call be ore connecting the audio jack, as this will switch o battery power and cutan ongoing call.

    Connect one end o the included audio cable tothe headsets audio jack and the other end to themusic devices headphone jack.

    . Learn about the battery status

    Immediately a ter turning the headset on, theLED will indicate the battery status.

    The LED will continuously fash red with about 5

    . Learn about simultaneous use forvoice and audio

    Your Bluetooth stereo headset can connect to one Bluetooth audio device (supporting the

    A2DP and AVRCP Bluetooth pro le) and one Bluetooth communication device

    (supporting HFP or HSP Bluetooth pro le) atthe same time.

    There ore you can connect your Bluetoothstereo headset. with a Bluetooth stereo enabled phone to

    both listen to music and lead calls, or with a Bluetooth phone that does not

    support Bluetooth stereo (A2DP) to leadcalls and at the same time to a Bluetoothaudio device (Bluetooth enabled MP3 player,Bluetooth audio adapter etc.) to listen tomusic. Make sure to pair the phone rstwith your Bluetooth headset, then turn boththe phone and headset o to then pair theBluetooth audio device.

    With the SwitchStream eature you can listen tomusic and monitor your calls at the same time.Even while listening to music, you will hear a ringtone when receiving a call and can switch to thecall simply by tapping thebutton.

    .4 Learn about FullSound

    FullSound is a smart digital sound enhancementalgorithm, which runs on a power ul processorinside your Bluetooth headset.

    10 Frequently asked questions

    Bluetooth headset does not switch on.Battery is very low.Charge your Bluetooth headset.
