English Devotional

Songs Project

2014

Sai bhajans are sung in many

languages. When we learn &

sing them ourselves we

connect with God and with each

other, experiencing the joy of

Oneness. So as a start, we

could learn & sing more English

bhajans in our Centres and

groups in the UK.

Purpose?

“Let the different faiths exist, let them flourish, let the gloryof God be sung in alllanguages in a variety oftunes. That should be theideal. Respect the differencesbetween the faiths andrecognize them as valid so faras they do not extinguish theflame of unity.”

What does Swami Say?

To provide easy access to lyrics, tunes & where possible sheet music, so devotees can download or listen & learn

Objective

To facilitate the singing of more English songs in all Centres & Groups in the UK.

Plan

To record 15 Englishbhajans from each Region and offer it as our gratitude during this 89th year of our Lord’s Advent

1. Individual devotees / Centre Spiritual Co-ordinators to contact Regional Spiritual Co-ordinators with a list of songs they would like to record, plus a list of lead singers & instrumentalists that are willing to participate.

The Process

2. Lead singers to send a recording via phone, tablet or Audacity Programme (can be supplied) on PC.

3. List & recordings from all regions to be sent to National Spiritual Co-ordinator & his team by

APRIL 24th 2014

Cont…

4. A consolidated list would be circulated to avoid duplication.

5. Pre recording and recording sessions to be held within the Region (where help required, please contact National team who will do their best to facilitate).

Cont…

All recordings will be uploaded on to SSSSO UK website.

And then?

The project was piloted in 2013. A few regions have sent in approx. 15 recordings and these will be worked upon soon and made available on the website.

Progress – where are we now?

1. Regional Leads/drivers (could be Regional Spiritual Co-ordinator or his/her nominee).

2. Regional Volunteers with audio recording/editing/mixing skills.

What help is needed?

3. Regional contacts with recording studios or equipment.
