COURSE LEVEL COURSE DETAILS Age: 18+ Start Day: Every Monday except on holidays (please check page 23) Minimum Length of Study: 1 Week Class Size: 8-10 students on average (up to 14 students) Hours Per Week: *Part-time (16 lessons/week, no visa) **Full-time (20 lessons/ week, need visa) Students have their progress measured every Friday Minimum Required Level: Please refer to course level chart ENGLISH LEVEL DURATION Beginner* 1-3 Terms (up to 12 weeks) Intermediate 1 1-4 Terms (up to 16 weeks) Intermediate 2 1-4 Terms (up to 16 weeks) High-Intermediate 1 1-4 Terms (up to 16 weeks) High-Intermediate 2 1-4 Terms (up to 16 weeks) Advanced 1-8 Terms (up to 32 weeks) *Beginner classes are not for complete beginners. This course assumes some basic knowledge of the English alphabet, basic vocabulary and the ability to understand a simple sentence. *PART-TIME **FULL-TIME 16 lessons/week (Core curriculum) Student visa NOT required 20 lessons/week (Core curriclum + one elective) Student visa required OR U.S. citizenship, residence or green card required FULL TIME STUDENTS ELECTIVES & ENRICHMENT Beginner, Intermediate 1 & 2: Enrichment Students at these levels receive extra materials and speaking opportunities that enrich the English for Communicaiton content. High Intermediate 1 & 2 and Advanced: Electives These students chose a course each term. Sample courses include: Practice and enjoy using English in the friendly environment provided in our general English course. As our most popular program, we offer classes for every English learner. All levels cover reading, writing, listening & speaking, with a focus on communication.
