POETS ON POEMS“Poems is emotion put into measure. The emotion

must come by nature but the measure can be acquired by art.”

˜Thomas Hardy“Immature poets imitate; mature poets steal.” ˜T. S. Eliot

“Perhaps no person can be poet, or can even enjoy poems, without a certain unsoundness of mind.”

˜Thomas Babington Macaulay

Poems for MotherThougts of You

Memories of another time still comeTo me and fill my mind, with thoughtsOf you when you were young. I lie awake'Till the morning sun comes creepingThrough my window shade, as I dwell uponMistakes I've made. What I would give toGo back in time and feel you're littleHand in mine. To cherish each fast andFleeting day. To hold you close and kissAway, each pain that life will have inStore and try to give you so much more. You are part and will always be, imbedded in the soul of me. While I'mHere, I want to say, that I've loved youEach and every day and when my time onEarth is gone. The privilege was mine to have been your Mom.

Poems for Love

So Much For My First Love I've loved you since I met you,

Though there's nothing I can do.You've really hurt my feelings,And I deserve better than you.I thought you said you loved me,But I guess I heard wrong. It's not going to help to come over here, And sing a pathetic love song. You hurt me with the truth,You said you didn't care. But you know? In my mind,I really don't think that's fair.Being with you,Made my world seem worth while. You can't just pretend like you don't know me,And put me away in some ex-girlfriend file.To you, my feelings mean nothing,To me they mean the world.Source: http://www.familyfriendpoems.com/poem/first-love-4#ixzz3AKntSipY Family Friend Poems

Continue from Poems for Love You cannot get rid of

The love that we shared. You ruined my life,Made my heart bleed.Love is like money,You can also take it out of greed. The words you said to me,Though as gentle as a dove,Made me think,So much for my first love.

Poems for TeacherYou Touched My Inner Soul• The Clarity you gave to me,

It shone like Angel rays,Like water rushed on golden sands,And crashed along the bays.

The questions deep within my heart,Confused my humble mind,Yet when you spoke your words aloudIt seemed, no longer I was blind.

The answers all came flooding in,They touched my inner soul,The knowledge that you gave to meWithin my heart I hold.
