Mirza jee originally belonged to Khipru, Distt. Sanghar. He came fromNational College and incidentally was among the last 13 fortunate entrants tojoin the batch of „79 in Dow.

Shershah, Habib Soomro, Wajahat, Gohar and Sarfraz were some of theother famous persons who followed the footsteps of Azhar. Mirza was anideological and unadulterated socialist and worked for NSF like a workaholic.

Reverence for Urdu literature was entrenched in the personality of Mirza. Hebecame editor and publisher of the magazine “Doctor” in the third year. His poetrygained momentum with time and by final year he published “Aabla Pa Musafir” themaiden collection of his poetry.

Mirza did his graduation and settled as a family physician after his house job. Hispractice and the PMA business went hand in hand. He edited another health issuesrelated Urdu magazine by the name of “Nabz”. Twelve years down the lane asfamily practitioner Mirza had a change of mind. He began his training foranesthesiology by joining Tipu Sahib at the Civil Hospital Karachi. He did MCPS inAnaesthesiology and joined Social Security Hospital, Landhi as an Anaesthetist.

Who can forget the lively voice of Mirza who anchored the function of silver jubileecelebration with Salma Qureshi. A very recent discovery of his talents surfacedwhen he was forced to sing at a musical gathering and the applause for hisperformance was overwhelming and shadowed that for the main singers at theparty. He is now specially invited to sing at all such gatherings.

In 2008 Mirza published his second collection of poetry by the name of “Harf-e-Raigaan”. Mirza is the same old lean-built man with a black and white beard grosslyinvolved in the affairs of PMA. He was also elected as Secretary General of PMACentral for two year tenure. Never fails in sending all his close friends at least twoSMS daily as a ritual keeping them all smiling throughout the day.

Hopefully you will grace our virtual world with your presence.It was good to meet up with you albeit for short periods.
