GLF

PSA PNR

GLF provides the load to be used for network analysis

Purposes.

The GLF provides the load forecast for which the PNR is used to plan future networks.

Future networks build in the PNR environment are used by the PSA for future network analysis studies.

PSA (Power System Analysis)Export network equipment and related technical attributes to a network analysis application

PNR (Project Need Register)Identify needs in a geographical environmentBuild projects within geographical environment

Economic analysisof alternatives

GLF (Geo-based Load Forecast)Spatial load forecast with a 25 year planning horizon

Concluding remarks

Intended to make a step-change in the quality and effectiveness of Eskom Distribution Network Planning

Result in well trained planners, with the data they require at their fingertips, utilising systems and tools that enhance their effectiveness and assist in the implementation of guidelines and standards

Benefit is intended to be realised Industry wide Standards and guidelines are available via DT website
