Construction Period: Apr 2000 – Oct 2002 Project Description:Following a build-own-operate (BOO) tender in 1997, the InterGen-ENKA partnership was awarded the right to build, own and operate the Gebze Power Plant with a nominal capacity of 1,600 MW, the Adapazarı Power Plant with a nominal capacity of 820 MW, respectively. An ENKA and Bechtel joint venture was the turnkey EPC contractor for all three plants. Each power island in these natural gas-fired combined cycle power plants consists of two combustion turbines / generators, two-heat recovery steam generators and one steam turbine/generator. Location: Bursa - Turkey Client: Turkish Electricity Authority (TEK) Construction Period: May 1996 – June 1999 Project Value: US$ 512 Million Project Description:The project encompassed all civil works, sub- and superstructures, and supply of auxiliary components. The scope of works also included the supply, installation, testing and putting into operation of the mechanical and electrical systems at the power plant. The main components were supplied from Japan by MHI. The project was financed by Japanese EXIM and a number of commercial banks.The main plant consists of two power blocks. Each has a set of two combustion turbines/generators, two heat recovery steam generators, one steam turbine / generator and one closed cooling water system with a 135 m natural draft dry cooling tower.The total net output of the combined cycle power plant is 1,409 MW, which is achieved by four gas turbines / generators each with a nominal capacity of 239 MW and two steam turbines/generators each with a nominal capacity of 238 MW. The annual power generation capacity of the plant is 10 billion kWh.




Location: Rotterdam - The NetherlandsClient: Rijnmond Energie CVConstruction Period: Aug 2002 – June 2004Project Value: US$ 362 MillionProject Description:The Rijnmond Energy Center was a natural gas fueled facility with a nominal 790 MW net output. It consisted of two combustion turbine generators (CTGs), two fired heat-recovery steam generators (HRSGs), and one lateral exhaust steam turbine generator (STG) in a 2x2x1 configuration. Plant cooling was provided by a mechanical draft, plume-abated cooling tower, with makeup water from the nearby Petroleum Haven, following processing through an acti-floc clarifier.The plant was designed to deliver 125 tons / hour of steam to the nearby Shell refinery and was designed to a capacity of exporting up to 350 tons/hour.

Location: Sharypovo, Krasnoyarsk - Russia Client: E.ON Russia Construction Period: June 2012 – Sept 2015 Project Value: US$ 172 Million Project Description:The Berezovskaya Coal Fired Power Plant Project, being the only power plant in the Russian Federation with 800 MW power units and where coal is used as the fuel, consisted of the construction of the 3rd power block with a capacity of 800 MW, to increase the capacity of the overall plant to 2,400 MW.The total of erection works performed by ENKA was 20,000 tons and consisted of 3,784 tons of duct works, 5,177 tons of steel structure works, 3,629 tons of equipment erection, 4,119 tons of pressure parts erection, 3,074 tons of piping erection, as well as 1,387 tons of pressure parts preassembly and the hydraulic testing of the boiler.




495 MW Nizhnekamsk CCGT Thermal Power Plant - Russıa

Location: Nizhnekamsk, Tatarstan - Russia Client: PJSC ”Nizhnekaskneftekhim” Construction Period: Feb 2018 – Apr 2021 Project Description:On 12 January 2017, ENKA entered into a consortium agreement with Siemens to undertake works on the Nizhnekamsk Combined Cycle Gas Turbine Thermal Power Plant Project (NK CCGT-TPP) under a contract awarded by Nizhnekamskneftekhim on 18 December 2017.

The project is located in the industrial hub in the southeast of the city of Nizhnekamsk, on the left bank of the River Kama, in the Republic of Tatarstan, Russia.

The works, which are to be performed on an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) basis, encompass the design, manufacture, delivery to site, erection, painting, setting to work, commissioning, start-up and testing of the NK CCGT-TPP.

The NK CCGT-TPP will have a configuration of two gas turbines, one steam turbine and two heat recovery steam generators. The main fuel for the NK CCGT-TPP will be natural gas, together with associated gas derivatives (syngas) that are by-products of Nizhnekamskneftekhim’s production processes.




250 MW Kazan CCPP – Tatarstan, Russıa

Location: Kazan, Tatarstan - Russia Client: PJSC Kazanorgsintez Construction Period: Oct 2019 – Mar 2023 Project Description:On October 2nd 2019, Siemens signed a contract with PJSC Kazanorgsintez, a member of the TAIF Group, for the delivery, installation, and commissioning of one SGT5-2000E gas turbine, one SST-600 steam turbine, one heat recovery steamgenerator and all associated systems for 250 MW Combined Cycle Power Plant in Kazan (KOS Project) in Tatarstan in the Russian Federation. ENKA has a “Cooperation Agreement” with Siemens, signed on February 27th 2018,regarding the construction of the plant.

Within the framework of this “Cooperation Agreement” ENKA is to perform the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) works. ENKA will also be responsible for commissioning. Siemens will supply the gas and steam turbines. The main fuel for the plant will be natural gas. The plant will also make use of the associated gas derivatives (syngas) that are by-products of Kazanorgsintez’sproduction processes.

West Qurna 2 PGP & Power Distribution System - Iraq

Location: Basra - Iraq Client: LUKOIL Mid-East Limited Construction Period: Dec 2011 – July 2014 Project Value: US$ 387 Million Project Description:ENKA performed the full front-end engineering design, detailed engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, start-up and performance testing scope of works for the West Qurna 2 Power Generation Plant & Power Distribution System project, utilizing in-house resources on a lump sum turnkey basis.

The specific content of the plant consisted of three (3) GE MS6001B Heavy Duty Dual Fuel Gas Turbine Generators -Simple Cycle - 42 MW each, a Fuel Gas Treatment Plant (45,000 Nm3/hour capacity) and a compression system included with fuel gas buffer storage, a liquid fuel unloading, storage and distribution system; 33kV/132kV GIS switchgear, power management system, a water treatment plant; firefighting and protection systems, utilities’ networks; all associated balance of plant, buildings and infrastructure.

The project has a high level of operational intelligence and reliability, compared to a standard power plant, due to its being the sole source of electric power for a giant oil field.

Erbil 1,500 MW CCPP - Iraq

Location: Erbil - Iraq Client: Mass Group Holding Ltd. Construction Period: Apr 2012 – Oct 2015 Project Description:ENKA executed the design, procurement, installationand start-up of eight Heat Recovery Steam Generators,two nominally rated 250 MW Steam Turbine Generators,two GSU Transformers, two 40-cell Air CooledCondenser systems and all other equipment, to convertthe simple cycle plant into two blocks of 4x4x1combined cycle configuration, including all civil anderection works.

Erbil Combined Cycle Power Plant project is designed towork on two types of fuel – natural gas as the primaryand diesel as the secondary source and utilizes theexhaust heat produced by the existing Erbil Gas PowerStation.

The Erbil 1,500 MW Combined Cycle Power Plantproject was Iraq’s first conversion project from simplecycle to combined cycle and the first combined cyclepower plant in the country.

Location: Basra - Iraq Client: Ministry of Electricity of Iraq Construction Period: May 2013 – May 2015 Project Value: US$ 271 Million Project Description:The project comprised engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and start-up, for a 4 x 125 MW Power Generation Plant, to operate in simple cycle mode of operation with three types of fuel, heavy fuel oil, natural gas and light distillate oil, complete with all balance of plant systems, to support the safe and efficient operation of Combustion Turbine Generators units.The scope of the services provided by ENKA included: complete basic and detailed design and engineering of the plant, utilizing in-house resources, supply of all balance of plant systems and equipment, all civil works unloading, metering and fuel treatment systems, Auxiliary Boiler System, 400 kV and 132 kV GIS Systems with step-up transformers, MV and LV Substation with auxiliary transformers, cabling, instrument and plant air supply systems, Black Start and Emergency Diesel Generators fire protection, detection, alarm and extinguishing systems, water storage, pre-treatment and demineralization plant, waste collection and treatment system, power plant distributed control system, construction of buildings, supply of spare parts, and start-up and commissioning of the plant on a lump sum turnkey basis.

Sulaymaniyah 1,500 MW CCPP - IRAQ

Location: Sulaymaniyah - Iraq Client: Mass Group Holding Ltd. Construction Period: July 2013 - July 2016 Project Description:The existing simple cycle Sulaymaniyah Gas Power Station had been developed by MGH - Mass Group Holding Ltd. with a capacity of 1,000 MW with eight GE - 9E gas turbines. Through the use of steam turbines manufactured by GE, the combined cycle gas turbines conversion added 500 MW installed capacity to the plant, making an overall capacity of 1,500 MW. The Sulaymaniyah Combined Cycle Power Plant Project was designed to work on two types of fuel – natural gas as the primary and diesel as the secondary source and to utilize the exhaust heat produced by the existing Sulaymaniyah Gas Power Station.The major works under the contract were the design, engineering, procurement, shipment/ delivery, installation construction, interconnection, pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up of eight Heat Recovery Steam Generators, two nominally rated 250 MW GE Steam Turbine Generators, two GSU Transformers, two 40-cell Air Cooled Condenser systems and all other Balance of Plant equipment to convert the simple cycle plant into two blocks of 4x4x1 combined cycle configuration, as well as demonstrating parallel operation with the grid at the required net output, performance testing, classroom training of the operating and maintenance personnel, and preparation of the integrated operation and maintenance manuals.

Bazyan 500 MW SCPP - Iraq

Contracts, Oil Services & General Transport Ltd. Construction Period: Sept 2014 – March 2016 Project Description:The Qaiwan Group awarded ENKA the Bazyan Simple Cycle Power Plant Project on an EPC turnkey basis.

The power capacity of the plant is 500 MW generated by four GE-9E-3 gas turbines, an air insulated switchyard of 132kV, fuel gas conditioning system, three Distillate Fuel Oil tanks, each of 15,000 m3 capacity, a water treatment plant and all Balance of Plant systems, complete with all accessories, including piping, wiring, instrumentation controls and panels and all other facilities and required capabilities.The scope of the work covers all engineering, design, procurement, manufacturing, shipment/ delivery, construction, installation, testing, interconnection, pre-commissioning, commissioning, start-up, demonstration of parallel operation with the grid at the required net output and performance testing activities as well as preparation of operation & maintenance manuals and classroom training of the operating and maintenance personnel.

The Baghdad Electrical Power Station - Besmaya Project is an EPC contract undertaken and executed by ENKA, on a lump sum turnkey basis, including engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, start-up and performance testing.The contract, signed between ENKA and Mass Energy Group Holding Ltd., comprised the first phase of the project, namely a 1,500 MW gas fired Combined Cycle Power Plant including all the infrastructure and utilities to serve also the future extension of the plant capacity to 3,000 MW. Phase-1, configured as 2 blocks of 2 x 2 x 1 combined cycle (1,500 MW), was designed and built to make 1,000 MW available for commercial operation on simple cycle mode by the end of 2016 and to add 500 MW with steam cycle by the end of 2017. The combined cycle part of the plant consists of 4 Heat Recovery Steam Generators including surface type condensers, 2 nominal rated 250 MW steam turbine generators, 2 wet type mechanical draft cooling towers, all the requisite equipment and systems for a safe, reliable and efficient combined cycle power generating facility.

Project Value: US$ 562 Million Project Description:On 03 January 2017, ENKA entered into a consor-tiumagreement with GE with a view to undertaking the works awarded by the Ministry of Electricity of Iraq under Contract No.1 dated 5 February 2017 for the Samawa1x4 9E Combined Cycle Power Plant Project.The works, to be undertaken on an EPC basis, included the design, manufacture, delivery to site, erection, setting to work, commissioning, start up and testing of the Samawa Combined Cycle Power Plant. The gas turbines and generators and their off-base auxiliaries supplied by employer were to be installed and commissioned by the GE-ENKA consortium in simple-cycle mode and then converted to combined-cycle through the addition of a steam tail (the “Add-On”) and associated equipment.
