Conclusions

26

•  Brazil   culture   can   enable   the   co-‐crea>ve   innova>on   environment   of  Living  Labs.

•  The  Brazilian  Network  of   Living   Labs  has   reached   a   cri>cal  mass   of   10  Living  Labs,  the  largest  outside  Europe.  At  least  another  10  are  emerging  for  the  next  call.

•  Brazil   is   a   natural   and   strategic   partner   of   EU   for   historical,   social,  economical  and  technological  reasons.

•  Creativity, experimentation, emotion, social innovation, happiness and well being are intrinsic to the Brazilian culture and also drive the Living Labs user-driven innovation. •  Living Labs methodologies and ENoLL provide a powerful opportunity to accelerate the Innovation Strategy in Brazil and reinforce new bridges of collaboration with Europe. That’s part of our mission.

What is a Living Lab?

•  A  Living  Lab  is  a  user-‐driven  open  innova>on  eco-‐system.

•  Real  living  environment,  where  the  user  (ci>zen,  resident,  worker,  student,  visitor,  customer)  lives,  works,  studies,  plays  and  entertains.  In  this  real  environment  the  user  co-‐creates,  experiments  and  tests  new  ideas,  products  and  services.

•  In  the  tradi>onal  research  environment  scien>sts  and  researchers  are  engaged  in  the  development  of  new  technologies,  products  and  services  to  meet  perceived  market  needs  which  many  >mes  don’t  materialize  or  are  not  met  by  technology  pushed  solu>ons.
