Frequently Asked Questions

Q. What assessment data are currently available?

Enrich Assess currently contains the following test scores for the past three years.

• AP • ACT • CogAT • ELDA • EOCEP • Explore • HSAP • MAP • PASS • PLAN • Project STAR • PSAT • SAT

DIBELS data will be available by the end of October 2011 and the ability to import additional assessments is being discussed with the vendor.

Q. Does Enrich have a search feature?

Yes. The Search link appears on every page. A simple search is initiated using the drop-down list and selecting Students or Classes. This field is dynamic and begins returning matches as soon as you begin to type. When Include historical data field is selected, students who are no longer enrolled will also be returned. Clicking the More Search Options opens an Advanced Search window where searches can be performed using individual criteria of name, choice of school, choice of grade, or ID number.

Q. Are MAP national percentiles available?

Yes. The national percentile for MAP is provided.

Q. Is student grade history available?

Yes. Student Grade History can be viewed by selecting the Transcripts tab under student information. Transient student information is not stored in PowerSchool and therefore is not available in Enrich.

Q. Are IEPs, Interventionist data, Tier I and Tier II data available?

No. Testing accommodations from IEPs, intervention suggested tracking and Tier I/Tier II data is not available in Enrich Assess. Another product module, Enrich RtI, does provide these capabilities and is currently under consideration for implementation by the District.

Q. Can reports be exported to Excel?

Yes. All reports can be exported from Enrich. Under the Class Score Sheet selecting the Export button will prompt the user to Open or Save a new file in MS Excel.

After a report runs, action icons display at the top of the report and allow users to Export and perform other specific actions.

Q. Can unique student groups be created?

Yes. There are two ways to manually add a student group from the Teacher Dashboard and Student Profile.

From the Teacher Dashboard screen, select the Create New Group link.

Create a name for the group and click Next or Cancel.

The next screen shows the title of the new group and allows the user to Rename This Group, Delete this Group, or Add Students. New students can be added to a group by using a variety of search criteria. If a search returns multiple students, specific names can be selected and saved.

The newly added group displays on the Teacher Dashboard.

A student group can also be added from a student Profile screen where current group membership information is available. Navigate to the Profile screen of a specific student and click the Add Group link.

Add the student to an existing group using the drop-down list of existing groups or select the new group option, enter a new group name and click Add.

Q. Can custom reports be created?

Yes. Opening any course or student group from the Teacher Dashboard screen displays a list of available Test Score and Grade Reports for the specified roster. To begin, select a report from the right side of the screen.

Test Score Reports Performance Groups (One Score)

Use this report to produce a roster of students divided into sub-groups based on one selected score. Students will be grouped into columns based on the selected score.

The Performance Group Report page appears and allows the user to select the test, administration, and score to be viewed.

Select criteria from the drop-down lists. The Test field (1) must be populated first to generate options for the remaining fields. All fields must be populated before continuing by clicking Run to produce the report.

The student course roster displays at the bottom of the screen and is grouped into columns based on the selected score. Select a name or score to view all test links for the specified student.

Select the specific test and administration and scroll down to see a complete view of the detailed test results.

Test Score Reports Performance Groups (Two Score)

Use this report to view students divided into sub-groups based on two selected scores. You will see the students grouped into columns based on the first selected score, and rows based on the second selected score. This report is useful for comparing two different tests or for showing change between two different administrations of the same test.

Enter all criteria (all six fields are required) and click Run to view the report.

Drill down to individual student results as for the Performance Groups (One

Score) previously described.

Test Score Reports

Class Score Sheet

The Class Score Sheet provides a grade book view of a single test administration. Select the desired test and administration information and the Class Score Sheet screen displays. Users can make and save changes in any of the score fields for any student. This report can also be exported to Microsoft Excel.

Class Achievement Profile Test Score Reports

The Class Achievement Profile provides recent PASS and MAP scores in the class’ subject area along with target growth. This report includes PASS data from the previous year and MAP data from the fall assessment therefore it is only available to certain grade levels and subjects. Note: The Spring Target Growth on this report may not match what is on the NWEA reports or the HCS data warehouse reports because the enrich report is based on the MAP 2008 Norm Study and NWEA is now using 2011 Norms.

Test Score Reports

Custom Reports

Custom reports can be created and managed from the Reports links accessible from the Teacher or Admin Dashboard. Users can filter report lists by Favorites, Personal Reports, or Received Reports. Hovering the mouse over a name opens a screen with summary data

about the selected report. Clicking the report hyperlink opens the report for viewing. Reports marked with yellow stars are designated as Favorites.

Create a new report by clicking the Create Report link at the top of the Reports section on the dashboard.

When the Create New Report Screen opens, choose Test Scores and then Next to configure each section of the report template to meet your requirements.

Type the name of your report in the field provided by overwriting the existing text.

Select Information by Student or Information Summarized by a specific category. If the information is to be displayed by student the user can add columns to the report to display additional information, add filters to limit results, and add options to existing filters. In the example above the report will display student First and Last Names and be filtered by Gender with the option of Female and Class with the option of 13016000-04 - W HIST.

Add columns by clicking the Add Columns button. Select as many options as desired by checking appropriate boxes and click Done when finished.

Add filters by clicking the Add Filter button. Select a filter category from the drop-down list, choose the appropriate operator and values, and click Done when finished. Check Select value when running report to be prompted for values at runtime. This option provides more flexibility at run time. NOTE: Unlike adding columns, multiple filters must be added one at a time.

Click the Add Test Administration link and select desired test from the drop-down list.

Once the desired test is selected the specific administration date must also be selected. All data fields to be included in the report are selected by checking appropriate boxes and clicking Done when finished. The report is generated by clicking Run at the bottom of the screen.

Tool buttons displayed at the top of the report allow users to Edit Criteria, Save, Save As…, Print, Export (to Excel), and Add to student group.

• Edit Criteria – opens the Edit Report Criteria and allows adjustment of any of the criteria categories

• Save – saves the report as a Favorite on the dashboard screen • Save As… –saves a copy of the report and rename it • Print – prints the report • Export –exports the report data to an Excel spreadsheet • Add to student group –adds students in the report to an existing student group or a

newly created group.

Grade Reports

Grade Reports display a list of students in the selected class and a graph of grades for the quarter. In this sample view all students are on the grid because the All Students box is checked.

Q. Can MAP and PASS results be compared?

Yes. Opening any course or student group from the Teacher Dashboard screen displays a list of available Test Score and Grade Reports for the specified roster. To compare MAP and PASS test scores, select Performance Groups (Two Scores) from the right side of the screen.

Q. Are MAP Lexile scores available?

Yes. From any report in Enich, choose MAP as the test name and Reading > RIT to Reading as the score.

HCS has created predefined reports in Enrich. These reports can be viewed from the Reports link accessible from the Teacher or Admin Dashboard. Select Received Reports from the drop down. Select Lexile Report from the list of Received Reports.

The Roster Year field must be populated first to generate options for the remaining fields. All five fields must be populated and click Run Report when selections are complete.

Q. Can Special Education students be identified?

Yes. HCS has created predefined reports in Enrich. These reports can be viewed from the Reports link accessible from either the Teacher or Admin DashboardSelect Received Reports from the drop down. Select Special Education Report from the list of Received Reports.

Select Yes from the first dropdown and school of interest from the second. Click Run Report to view the report.

The report displays at the bottom of the screen. Select a name or score to view all test links for the specified student.

Q. Can Gifted Students be identified?

Yes. HCS has created predefined reports in Enrich. These reports can be viewed from the Reports link accessible from either the Teacher or Admin Dashboard. Click on Received Reports from the drop down. Select Gifted Report from the list of Received Reports.

Select Yes for one or both of the dropdowns to specify the categories of gifted desired. Click Run Report to view the report.

The report displays at the bottom of the screen. Select a name or score to view all test links for the specified student.

Q. Can all scores for a given assessment be viewed? Yes. Use the quick search to locate the student. The Search link appears at the top of every page. This field is dynamic and begins returning matches as soon as you begin to type. When Include historical data checked, students who are no longer enrolled will also be returned.

Click on the Test Scores tab at the top to display all test scores for the selected student.

Q. Can Map and Algebra I results be compared?

Yes. HCS has created predefined reports in Enrich. These reports can be viewed from the Reports link accessible from either the Teacher or Admin Dashboard. Click on Received Reports from the drop down. Select EOC Algebra I Comparison from the list of Received Reports.

Select the School Is name from the drop down list. Click Run Report to view the report.

The report displays at the bottom of the screen. Select a name or score to view all test links for the specified student.
