INTRODUCTION
At Institut Villa Pierrefeu (IVP), we havecreated a unique environment in which toacquire skills for life. Our students comefrom all over the world to study and alsoreceive great pleasure in learning fromeach other, forming long-lasting friend-ships.
The difference between success and fail-ure is often found in the attention paid todetail: from knowing how to greet some-one from anywhere in the world, to estab-lishing and nurturing internationalrelationships, or expressing oneself gra-ciously, or entertaining to suit all occa-sions, for example.
With more than 50 years of experience,we will help you to develop importantskills that will support both your privateand professional lives, now and in thefuture.
All programmes are designed to give thestudent the opportunity to achieve agreater understanding of other culturesand better interpersonal communica-tion.
A good balance between theory and prac-tical experience is provided so that thestudents enjoy and fully participate intheir chosen programme of studies.
The limited number of students (from18 years old, with no upper age limit)makes for small classes, guaranteeing ahigh quality of teaching and personalattention.
The classes are taught in English andsupport materials can be obtained in theform of study manuals and textbookscreated by the School.
HISTORY
The Institut Villa Pierrefeu (IVP) wasfounded in 1954 by Mme Dorette Faillet-taz. Since 1972, it has been run by herdaughter Viviane Néri and she is nowworking with her son, Philippe Néri, thuscontinuing the tradition of a privately runfamily school.
Originally a “finishing course” for MmeFaillettaz’s students at her school “BleuLéman”, its popularity blossomed and in1965 it became apparent that this“course” required its own premises andspecial status as a Finishing School.
Under Viviane Néri’s direction, the Schoolgrew, restructured and has constantlyadapted the curriculum to new lifestylesand business trends.
While maintaining this tradition, PhilippeNéri is focusing on making IVP a recog-nised reference in the fields of imple-menting and teaching InternationalEtiquette & Protocol.
The school is a member of FSEP (SwissFederation of Private Schools) and it hasobtained the internationally recognizedISO 9001 standard recognition.
IVP has been “home” to many, many stu-dents since it opened its doors and themeasure of its success can be found in thewonderful letters received from alumniwhich confirm how useful their studieshave proved in both their private and pro-fessional lives.
Throughout the years, IVP has taughtmany students, business people, mem-bers of the diplomatic corps and rulingfamilies.
