New Features in enteliWEB 4.11O3 Access System

enteliWEB 4.11 introduces a new access control system driven by the O3-DIN-CPU controller and the O3-DIN-ACCESS module.

This new O3 access system includes the following enteliWEB components:

O3 access dashboardsO3 access reportO3 access widgets for personal and enterprise dashboards

Note: O3 access system features in enteliWEB are enabled when you install enteliSYNC version 4.11 on the enteliWEB server.

O3 Access System Feature

Description

O3 Access Dashboards The new dashboards provides a user-friendly interface to manage the O3 Access system, including access users and doors. Dashboards can be used to:

Manage Access Users, including credentials and extended user field data.Manage Access Roles, which define door permissions and settings for the assigned users.Control Access Doors, by sending commands to lock and unlock one or more doors at once.

The new dashboards created for the O3 Access system require version 4 firmware in O3 controllers with O3-DIN-ACCESS modules, and are not compatible with version 3 devices such as ASM and eBMGR controllers.

O3 Access Report enteliWEB 4.11 adds a new access report for the O3 Access system.

This report allows users to view a history of access user activity in the O3 Access system.Users are able to filter by enteliWEB site, date/time range, day of week, access users, access doors, and event types. Reports can be generated on a scheduled interval, or manually run.Generated reports can be emailed to enteliWEB users or external email addresses.

O3 Access Widgets enteliWEB offers a range of widget types that are suitable for monitoring various aspects of an access control system on an enterprise dashboard.

Access Activity widget displays a summarized view of access control system activities. Credentials widgetAccess  displays information about the credentials used in the access database. Users widgetAccess  displays the current number of active, inactive and archived users in the access database. User Disabled widgetAccess  displays a summary of access users who are inactive and the reason why these user

statuses are inactive.Camera Image widget displays snapshot images from its associated IP camera.

New Database Engine

enteliWEB 4.11 has migrated from MySQL to PostgreSQL.

Upgrading to 4.11 will migrate the existing enteliWEB database to PostgreSQL.MySQL will remain installed to support those cases where a module or other customization is still using the MySQL database.

User Message Banner

enteliWEB administrators can set a system wide message for all enteliWEB users about planned maintenance periods and known issues. Messages can be customized.

New Map and Weather Data Sources

enteliWEB 4.11 switches to a new data source for the Weather widget, as the previously used data source has been discontinued by its provider.enteliWEB 4.11 switches to a new geolocation data source for the Site Info widget, as the previously used data source has changed its terms of use, preventing us from continuing to use it.

The new data source for weather does not support personal weather stations

System Requirements

enteliWEB Deployment Planning Guide for IT Personnel

Delta Controls has written to provide guidance on planning a deployment of enteliWEB version 4.11. It can Deployment Planning Guide for enteliWEB 4.11 be found on the enteliWEB product page.

This guide encompasses the following topics: recommended server hardware, sizing and software based on reference networks, TCP and UDP ports, services, security, installation guidelines, support and trouble shooting.

The host server specifications below are considered the minimum requirement for enteliWEB.  To select a server that will provide optimal performance and user experience for your site, see the Deployment Planning Guide for enteliWEB, found on the  .enteliWEB product page

Host Server

Operating System

Microsoft Windows Server 2016 Essentials, Standard and Datacenter editions are supported.Microsoft Windows Server 2012 Foundation, Essentials and Standard editions are supported.Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard Edition is supported .1

For small sites or tech/development machines, the following may be used:

Microsoft Windows 10 Professional, Enterprise, IoTMicrosoft Windows 7 Ultimate, Professional, Enterprise1

Not Supported

Microsoft Windows XP or Vista is not supported.Microsoft Windows 8 is not supported.Microsoft Windows Server 2003 is not supported.Microsoft Windows Server 2008 is not supported.Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2 Web Edition is not supported.

Minimum Hardware Requirements

Intel/AMD multi-core CPU @ 2GHz, 4GB RAM, 100 GB HDD space + 60 MB per year of meter data.enteliWEB's energy management system makes a local copy of the archived Historian/CopperCube data for each data point added to a meter, at a fixed 5 minute interval. Each data point consumes 30 MB of hard disk space per year of archived data, regardless of the number of samples in the archived data. For example, 5 meters having a demand and consumption data point (10 data points in total) with 5 years of historical data consumes nearly 1.5 GB of hard disk space (5 meters * 2 data points/meter * 30 MB/year * 5 years = 1500 MB = 1.46 GB).

Internet Information Services (IIS)

Internet Information Services (IIS) is required for enteliWEB and the installer automatically installs it if not already installed.enteliWEB supports IPv4 only. It does not support IPv6.

 PostgreSQL

enteliWEB installs its own instance of PostgreSQL to store internal data which does not conflict with any existing PostgreSQL installation. The enteliWEB installer prompts you to create the postgres user password. You must retain this password.enteliWEB's integrated PostgreSQL service runs on port  .49900 If port 49900 is in use at the time of installation/upgrade, the installer will find the next available port and use it instead.

MySQL

enteliWEB installs its own instance of MySQL to store internal data which does not conflict with any existing MySQL installation. The enteliWEB installer prompts you to create the root user password. You must retain this password.enteliWEB's integrated MySQL service runs on port   and appears as     in MySQL Workbench.49250 Local instance Delta MySQL ServiceWhile enteliWEB no longer uses MySQL, some customizations/modules still do. It will continue to be installed as part of 4.11, but will be removed in a future release.

The Electric Vehicle (EV) Charger integration requires IIS 8.0 or newer, which is not available in Windows 7 or Server 2008. Sites that support 1

the EV Charger integration must install Server 2012 or newer, or Windows 10 if they are a small site.

Coexisting with ORCA software

enteliWEB is independent of ORCA software and can be installed together with ORCAview and ORCAweb. enteliWEB and ORCA software can both connect to the same remote BACnet network (BBMD) as a foreign device, but they cannot share an Ethernet or BACnet Regular IP connection.

CopperCube or Historian Database Support

enteliWEB relies on a CopperCube or Historian database that resides on a separate server to supply trend log data for energy reporting and historical trends.enteliWEB supports MySQL and Microsoft SQL Historian databases. The Historian server, database and remote connections must be set up prior to configuring Historian's relationship with enteliWEB. Refer to Historian documentation. See   for the procedure to enable the SQL KBA2016database to allow remote TCP/IP connections as required by enteliWEB to retrieve energy data.enteliWEB utilizes web services to retrieve CopperCube data.Use CopperCube 1.30 release or higher

Upgrading enteliWEB from Earlier VersionsWhen upgrading enteliWEB from an earlier version, it is important to follow these procedures.  Plan your upgrade in such a way as to minimize service disruption.  Give yourself plenty of time, ideally during Delta Tech Support operating hours in case of an unexpected problem.  If the site is sensitive to service disruption, Delta can advise you on multi-server arrangements that allow you test the upgrade on one server, while leaving the main server in operation.

Important: Please note the following essential items

Disk Space Requirements for 4.11

enteliWEB 4.11 migrates to a new database engine - PostgreSQL. During an upgrade from a previous version, the old database is migrated to PostgreSQL, and the old database is left in the previous database engine (MySQL). As a result, more disk space is required for a 4.11 upgrade than previous versions.

The enteliWEB installer will check that the server has sufficient free disk space before allowing the installation to proceed.

Backup/Restore Changes for 4.11

enteliWEB 4.11 only supports restoring backups from enteliWEB 4.2 or newer.

LDAP Improvements

enteliWEB 4.9 updated the LDAP functionality within the product, allowing administrators to synchronize users and groups between LDAP and enteliWEB.

As a result of changing to new libraries for LDAP, enteliWEB 4.9 does not support Digest Authentication. To secure the connection between the enteliWEB and LDAP servers, Delta recommends getting an SSL certificate for the site before installing or upgrading to enteliWEB 4.9.

Sites that use Digest access authentication for LDAP in conjunction with SSL need to make the following changes after upgrading or restoring to enteliWEB 4.9:

Open the LDAP Configuration page. In the Manager Account field, enter the LDAP bind account id using full distinguished name (DN) syntax.

For example, LDAP Bind Account: CN=Sample User,CN=Users,OU=WebTeam,DC=network,DC=com

Where:

CN defines the common nameOU defines the organizational unitDC defines the domain component

Back Up enteliWEB Prior to Upgrade

To prevent data loss in the event of upgrade problems, perform a backup of enteliWEB as described below before starting an upgrade.

Log on as the Admin user.Navigate to Administration > Support.Click Back Up to begin the enteliWEB configuration back up process. When the enteliWEB configuration back up is completed, consider whether you need to back up the following additional items:

Application module configuration data. When an application module stores configuration data in its module folder that resides inside website/application/modules, then that data is backed up by the enteliWEB back up function. Otherwise your application module configuration data must be backed up separately by a tool or process that is outside of enteliWEB.Log and event data. The enteliWEB back up function skips log and event database tables due to their potential size. If this data must be retained, follow the procedures in   to manually backup these tables.Kba1953

Upgrade enteliWEB

Run Windows Update to check for any available updates. If updates exist, install them and restart your machine to finish applying them.Repeat step 1 until all updates have been applied.

Run enteliWEBSetup.exe in the enteliWEB installer folder. It guides you through the installation process and automatically installs and upgrades the required components.

Update Application Modules

Application modules may need to be updated after upgrading to a new version of enteliWEB as a result of changes to underlying functionality. If an application module does not specify that it is supported in that particular version of enteliWEB, it  is disabled.

If your module was created by Delta's PAS department, please consult with them prior to any version upgrade. Otherwise, refer to the Application Module Support in the help documentation to ensure your module is up to date.

Custom Application Modules

If you are upgrading from a version 4.4 or earlier, when enteliWEB 4.5 or later is installed, all application modules disappear from the enteliWEB UI.  Please read the Help documentation and follow the procedure in order to be able to install the modules using the new Manage Modules UI, after which they will reappear on the UI.

Known Issues

Known issues specific to version 4.11

GeneralMySQL service must be running for enteliWEB to function, even though it is no longer used   (EWEB-30077)PostgreSQL services consume more CPU than MySQL did   (EWEB-30111)PostgreSQL consumes more disk space than MySQL did   (EWEB-30042)

Object Dialogs/NavigatorV4 AIC: an error occurs when changing Input Type from 10 kOhms to 1kOhm RTD, with a Voltage-Value pair already saved (EWEB-

 28708) O3 Access System

eSYNC: master database sometimes shows no objects   (EWEB-30146)

Known issues recently identified

GeneralLDAP: group mappings are not saved properly when LDAP groups have a blank display name   (EWEB-28593)

Dashboards/WidgetsenteliWEB freezes when opening a dashboard with an MT widget in IE11   (EWEB-28940)

EV Charger DashboardConfiguration Page: an error occurs when editing multiple configuration parameters for a charge point   (EWEB-28298)

GCL EditorString value is interpreted as State Text when MV object containing similar State is referenced in editor   (EWEB-28674)

Known issues carried forward from previous versions

GeneralAuthentication Prompt - an Authentication prompt may appear after logging out or session timeout while a request is in progress. (EWEB-

976)Refresh - F5 refresh does not keep the user on the same page. (EWEB-12056)Error Messages - various error messages (QERR) require user-friendly translations. (EWEB-10740)

Backup/RestoreUnable to restore enteliWEB backup if path exceeds 189 characters   (EWEB-17576)

Energy ManagementData Removal - meter data will be imported slowly if in the process of removing a large amount of meter data. For instance, after deleting several meters and then adding new meters or resetting existing meters. Once the old meter data has been removed, it will be back to normal.

Firmware LoaderFirmware Loader makes a device database backup before performing the firmware upgrade, but these backups are not directly available through enteliWEB. In the event you need to restore a backup manually, the files will be located in C:\ProgramData\Delta Controls\FirmwareLoader\jobs\.

Installation/UpgradeUpgrade Timeout - upgrading is slow with a large enteliWEB database (i.e. hundreds of meters, thousands of log entries, etc) and may time out and show a "Database upgrade incomplete" error. If this occurs, proceed through the installer; the upgrade will continue in the background (loading enteliWEB in a browser will show the message 'DB Upgrade In Progress'). Once the upgrade is complete, loading enteliWEB in a browser shows the enteliWEB login page. If the 'DB Upgrade In Progress' message is encountered for more than 60 minutes, the server may require a manual upgrade - please contact Customer Solutions for additional info to resolve the problem. (EWEB-12733)

Object DialogsMT -   fails to load complete data from CopperCube if we are requesting 5000/10000 samples. (EWEB-11821)SCH - schedule Object cannot back out changes they are saved immediately   (EWEB-12817)Object Pages - the following objects dialogs have not been completed:  DEL, LNK, LCD, MN, CEL, SDL, RPS, PAN, DRT, SD, SUG, DBI, GWS, GWD, GWF GCL Editor Program Timers Restart - Saving a PG using enteliWEB will cause all time-dependent functions within that PG to restart or re-execute. This is different behaviour from ORCAview which will only restart or re-execute these functions if you change that particular line. Essentially when enteliWEB edits an existing program, the controller "sees" this as an entirely new program, and all contents of the program are "reset". (EWEB-12620)         The following functions are affected:

DoEvery will restart its timer.OnFor/OffFor will restart its timer.IfOnce will re-evaluate its condition and if true will execute its statements.Changed will return true if the value doesn't match the default value for the particular type of value (e.g. if the value is 5, Changed will return true because it doesn't match the default 0).

Also, variables will be re-declared causing them to revert to their initial value (e.g. 0), so make sure they are initialized accordingly.

Navigator Copy/Paste - pasting objects between different device firmware versions may not copy all properties properly.Object List Filter - manual filter returns some objects that are not in manual mode (SCH) (EWEB-29331)

The Hosts section in the license is only for enteliVIZ. enteliWEB itself does not look at the host section at all.The Hosts section is only used for the URL to access enteliVIZ.  It has nothing to do with BACnet connectivity.  The following hosts should cover the majority of cases:

Localhost     example:   http://localhost/enteliweb127.0.0.1    example:  http://127.0.01/enteliwebMyMachineName    example:  http://MyMachineName/enteliweb

The only time that the Hosts section needs expanding is if you access your enteliWEB/enteliVIZ remotely AND use an IP address instead of a hostname:

http://10.10.1.8/enteliwebhttp://10.11.1.9/enteliwebhttp:///10.8.0.1/enteliwebTo avoid having to to enter new host IP addresses as you switch networks, we recommend accessing enteliWEB by a hostname, such as http://MyMachineName/enteliweb

ReportsNo chart is generated in the Consumption by Time report, if one of the meters does not contain the full range of data.  (EWEB-18436)Columns are not formatted correctly in the Excel report output  (EWEB-18758)Access Control Reports: Excel file cannot be generated when detail query parameters is a long list (EWEB-24214) In the Trend Log report, samples returned in generated report are inconsistent with TL object page, if the sample timestamp has millisecond changes (EWEB-19326)
