Attaching the A/C Adapter Power Cord
PlugthePowerCordintotheA/CAdapterPortonthebackofthepump.SeeFigure1Atolocateportonpump.Makenoteofthelocationofthepinsandtabontheplugtoproperlyorienttheplug.
Theconnector,whichattachestothebackofthepump,hasaspring-loadedlockingsleevethatlocksintothepump,thushelpingtopreventtheconnectorfrombeingaccidentallyknockedout.Toremovetheconnector,grasptheouterslidingsleevememberandpull.Donotdetachtheconnectorbypullingonthecordonly.
Battery Setup
Thebatterypackisfullychargedbeforeshipping,andisleftunconnectedtooptimallypreservebatterylife.
WARNING: Thebatteryshouldbeconnectedbeforeusingthepump.
Itisalsorecommendedthatthebatterychargebe“toppedoff”beforebattery-onlyoperationisutilized.Thebatterypackwillchargecontinuouslywheneverthepumpispluggedintoawalloutlet,includingduringnormaluseofthepumpwithA/Cpower.Eighthoursofchargingisrequiredtofullyrechargethebatterypack.
Anewbatterypackwillprovideapproximately15hoursofservicebeforeneedingtoberecharged.

ToattachthePoleClamptotheKANGAROOePumpenteralfeedingpump,aligntheholeonthePoleClampwiththemountingholeonthebackofthepump.Usea3/8”-16bolttofastentogether,asshowninFigure3.

Battery Power OperationIfA/Cpowerisnotavailabletothepump,orifA/Cpowerisinterrupted,thepumpwillautomaticallyoperateonbackupbatterypower.Thebuilt-inbatteryrechargesanytimethepumpispluggedintoanoutlet.

Keep or Clear Prior Pump SettingsImmediatelyafterpoweringupthepump,ifthepriorfeedorflushsettingswerenotclearedandthesettingsarenotlockedintheBioTechScreen,thepumpwillgivethefollowingtwooptions:
KEEP SETTINGS-Selectthisoptiontostartwiththesamesettingsthatweremostrecentlyprogrammedintothepump.Anyofthepreviously-programmedsettingscanbemodified,ifneeded.Thefeedvolumetotals,“ml FED”(ContinuousFeedMode)or“BOlUSES FED”(IntermittentFeedMode)and“ml FlUSH”arealsomaintained.
ClEAR SETTINGS-Selectthisoptiontoresetallinputfeedingsettingsandtheoutputfeedtotalstozero.Itwillthenbenecessarytoprogramallsettingsbeforerunningthepump.
Note: Theoutputfeedtotals(“ml FED,”“BOlUSES FED,”“ml FlUSH”)canbeclearedatanytime,andwithoutclearingtheinputsettings,bydoingthefollowing: •StartthepumpRUNNING •Press4HOlD •Press4ClEAR VOlUME
