ENV 331 Sustainability - Mexico (SSc, SCI) 0.5 credit

This practical field course will provide an opportunity for students to gain valuable international experience in environmental sustainability and human health issues. Mexico faces considerable challenges with respect to water resources and environmental sustainability, and environmental expertise in Latin America is in high demand.

Duration - 7 days in Mexico + 2 travel days

ENV 331 Field Course in Mexico,

June 1-9, 2015

• Prerequisite: 3rd year standing in any of the ENV Specialist Programs, or specialists in ENV affiliated programs (e.g. GGR, ECO, BIO, CHE), plus application and interviews. Although not a prerequisite, some ability in Spanish would be an asset.

• Admission: Application due February 21, 2015.

• Application details are available at http://www.utm.utoronto.ca/geography/

• Acceptance will be based on a combination of GPA (2.7 or higher), experience, qualifications and interview performance.

• In addition to the half credit tuition fee, there is a travel cost (up to $1500) associated with this course for which accepted students will be responsible. There are funds available to subsidize the travel costs.
