MILESTONE The Industrial Pollution Prevention & Control (IPPC) services of
Environment Management Group, NPC were operationalized in 1983
To provide comprehensive solution to the environmental related problems of the industry ranging from • Problem identification, • Monitoring analysis, • Detailed engineering designs of appropriate pollution
prevention & control techniques The unique feature of services of the Environment Management
Group is pollution prevention, increasing profitability of industrial enterprises by introducing waste minimisation and resource conservation concepts and minimising the cost of treatment to comply with the environmental norms.
MILESTONE
The NPC has been among the leaders in Asian National Productivity Organisations in the field of Environmental Management and Pollution Prevention & Control.
A major achievement was the recognition of NPC by UNIDO & UNEP as one of the five institutions in the world to host the National Cleaner Production Centre (NCPC).
NPC was also represented on the Committee on Environment to advise APO on matters relating to environment.
