Objectives:

ESDev “Better Environment Better Tomorrow”

Sustainability remains as a powerful driving force in relation to the pressing concerns over management of resources and environment. The present day issues related to environment and sustainable development form the primary focus of the International Conference series on Environmentally Sustainable Development (ESDev). The ESDev conference, first held in 2005, has become one of the worldwide leading series of conferences on environment and provides a platform for active discussions regarding the real time issues, examining the current practices and determining the future policies on the subject. ESDev conference has been regularly held biennially, bringing together academician, scientists, engineers, researchers, students, practitioners, developers and other professionals to address and discuss emerging environmental issues, consequences and remedies. The first six conferences successfully addressed the vital issue of today, the Environment and Sustainable Development. The seventh coming conference ESDev-VIII is again aimed at promoting research and developmental activities in the field of Environmental Science and Development.The success of this conference reflects the critical environmental topics that are discussed as well as the quality of the presented papers. All the papers selected for either oral or poster presentations undergo a review process.

i. To sensitize critical environmental issues and highlighting key challenges

ii. To promote scientific information interchange among researchers, developers, engineers, students, and practitioners working in Pakistan and abroad.

iii. To explore ways and means for attaining sustainable development through scientifically sound advice.

iv. To promote R&D in the field of green technologies and encourage environmentally safe and economically sustainable technology/practices.

v. To facilitate exchange of new ideas in these fields and to create a dialogue between scientists and practitioners.
