By grace – Titus 3:7 By the blood of Christ – Rom. 5;9 By belief/faith – Acts 13:39 and Rom. 5:1By works – Jas. 2:24Not by work (of merit) – Rom. 4:2; Gal. 2:16By obedience to the truth – 1 Pet. 1:22

Justified

Page 17: Ephesians & Colossians

Facts:We are all sinners deserving death (Rom. 3:23).We can’t justify ourselves (Lk. 16:15).God alone can justify us (Rom. 8:33).

- By the blood of Christ (Tit. 3:7)It’s through obedient faith that we access this grace (1 Pet. 1:22).We contact the blood of Jesus in water baptism (Gal. 3:26,27; Rom. 6:3.)Only those who are justified have the promise of eternal life (Tit. 3:7).

Page 18: Ephesians & Colossians

Justification is an act of God in which He declares an obedient believer to be righteous

and acceptable before Him because Christ bore their sins on the cross and shed His

blood for atonement.
