Sustainable Well Pad Based Production Water

Distillation & Evaporation Remediation

Page 2: Epiphany Overview 2015 Nov

All oil & gas wells make

produced water for life of well

◦ Contains salt, metals & dirt

◦ Very expensive to treat and

transport

◦ Every Oil & Gas Well has Produced

Water that needs to be transported

to treatment or disposal

On-site autonomous, sustainable, proprietary solar/natural gas hybrid solution:

Basin/produced water characteristics agnostic◦ Effluents:

◦ Distilled water - Evaporated on Well-Pad (permit exempt)

◦ Residual non-hazardous solids - Land filled or deep well injected

Eliminates truck traffic, transport risk and carbon footprint

Can reduce operator produced water remediation costs by 20-50%

Autonomous Central Operation ◦ Multiple Units From a Single Control Center◦ Dashboard and Data From Each Unit

Remote Monitoring and Management◦ Auto-notification of Out of Range Conditions◦ Sent via Internet to E-mail or Cell Phone◦ Notification of Any System Issues

Internet Connectivity ◦ 3G or Satellite Communications◦ Small Data Packets, Low Data Costs◦ Connect Local Units via Wireless Repeater

Intranet

1. Unit installed directly on well pad

2. Produced water pumped from well pad tanks

3. Heat Transfer Fluid (HTF) heated by either Concentrated Solar Power (CSP) or natural gas powered heater if sun is not shining

4. HTF and Produced Water pumped through heat exchangers, transferring HTF heat to source water

5. Produced Water is flash vaporized in distillation unit creating steam, re-condensed to purified water

6. Clean water (<250ppm) sent to Epiphany Evaporator on well pad

7. Slurry augured directly into a roll-off container

◦ Or concentrated brine pumped to tanks for Operator

Several Factor Determine Lease Pricing◦ Number and locations of well pads◦ Volume of Produced Water per pad◦ TDS of Produced Water◦ Reuse of concentrated brine or slurry disposal

If slurry disposal, distance from land fill or UIC well◦ Term – 36 or 60 months preferred ◦ Service and warranty options

Tailored, cost effective service lease Potential Savings of 20%-50% on other Produced

Water remediation options
