CYIA’ERS SAY. . .

STILL GOT QUESTIONS?

Equipping you to impact the next generation for Christ!

June 3-9, 2018 Camp Moses Merrill, Linwood, NE

In the same way your Father in heaven is not willing that any of these little ones

should perish. (Matt. 18:14)

5-Day Clubs® are Bible clubs for kids ages 4-11. They meet for five days for 90 minutes. A host family invites the children and provides a meeting place and snacks. Some clubs are held in parks or at churches.

During the club, CYIA teens play games with the kids, build relationships with them, and teach them a memory verse, Bible lesson, and an exciting missionary story. The kids also sing, and enjoy snacks and prizes.

Rejoice! Last summer, our staff and teens held nearly 100 clubs, planting God’s Word in the hearts of about 1,500 children. Some of the children prayed to trust Christ as Savior.

Did you know? 85 percent of those who

put their faith in Christ do so by age 14. But only about 17 percent of children

now attend church.

WHAT’S A 5-DAY CLUB?

WHO LEADS CAMP?

BEFORE CAMP The application will be on our website and can be completed online or downloaded. (It is lengthy because of a background check which must be done once.)

First year students and a parent must attend a brief conference in April or May. Dates will be announced later.

Teaching materials will be given out at the conferences along with some reading assignments to help teens be successful at camp.

AT CAMP Camp will begin Sunday afternoon, June 3. Much of the week students will focus on classes, study times, practicing and evaluations. The classes are practical and presented well. They include:

Sharing the Gospel

Preparing/teaching a Bible lesson

Giving an invitation and counseling

Making song time meaningful Presenting a missionary lesson

and many more!

During an afternoon break, teens can swim, hike or play volleyball, basketball, 9 Square in the Air or other games. A bonfire and special group activities are planed for Fun Night.

Meals are delicious, healthy and plentiful. Students also get lots of snacks! Those with dietary restrictions will need to assist our cooks with their meals as needed.

Camp ends Saturday afternoon with a special commissioning service to which parents and friends are encouraged to attend.

AFTER CAMP

CYIA’ers must help teach four 5-Day Clubs. They work in groups of 3 or 4 to lead the clubs, which are set up by the CEF office. Transportation is provided if needed. (We try to keep teens in their area, but this is not always possible.)

Clubs are held in the morning, afternoon or evening from June 12 — Aug. 11, so it is very do-able to arrange teaching assignments around a job or other summer plans.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

The cost to attend CYIA is $225. This includes camp, the summer missions teaching kit and a T-shirt. A $25 discount is provided for each additional teen from the same family, and there are a few scholarships available for those in need. A pre-registration fee of $50 must be sent with the application. The balance is due at registration on June 3. The full registration fee may be sent in with the application if desired. There is no need for any additional funds at camp.

CEF’s policy is “Ask God and tell His people,” and we encourage teens to do the same. Those 14 and older who are willing to send out support raising letters and meet other guidelines may be able to receive a salary for the clubs they teach.

Some churches are also willing to pick up part of the camp expense since it is for teacher training. Contact us for details about any of this help.

WHAT DOES IT COST?

FINANCIAL HELP?

CYIA is sponsored by Child Evangelism Fellowship, the largest ministry to children in the world. CEF® is non-denominational and Bible-based. Our mission is to evangelize kids with the Gospel and help establish them in the Word of God and in local churches.

Through CYIA, young people are trained to teach 5-Day Clubs®, reaching the next generation with the Good News. You can experience the joy of leading children to trust Christ as Savior and learn more about Him!

Did you know . . . Less than one-fourth of American children attend church?

CYIA is for Christian teens age 13 and up who are willing to spend part of their summer being trained and then teaching 5-Day Clubs. Last year, 60 teens attended. Potential students should know this is an intense leadership / teacher training camp. It is not for everyone. While there is a lot to learn, teens who are willing to cooperate, be teachable and work hard can be successful. CYIA has made a big difference in the lives of hundreds of young people who have learned new skills, gained confidence, made new friends and - most importantly - led children to the Savior

CYIA East is held at beautiful Camp Moses Merrill, located 50 miles west of Omaha.
