Findings

1.Equity mutual funds are the funds having both high risk and high return.

2.Growth equity funds are at the top.3.Sectoral equtiy mutual funds have volatility 3.Sectoral equtiy mutual funds have volatility

as like as the equity sector.4.In the year 2008, the equity mutual funds

has overally better performance than the 2007.

Suggestions

1)The investors should have better knowledge about the portfolio of the funds before investing in the equity mutual funds.mutual funds.

2)Investors who want high return , they should invest in sectoral equity funds.

3)Investors who want reasonable return, they should choose diversified equity funds.

As share market has high risk high return, and people are looking for better return but with safety, they choose mutual funds and mainly the equity funds those are giving better return in the market. As People have better in the market. As People have better knowledge about the share markets, they are choosing equity funds for their investment.
