Strength: ¡ Qualified, experienced and professional faculty ¡ Well planned structure of the coaching programme ¡ Very Resourceful Library ¡ Good network of the Centre with other professional institutes of the country ¡ Study Group of the students which has created a healthy competative environment in the campus of RCA which resulted into inviting over 4000 applications for current batch admission and we have to increase our seats to 200 for the year 2015 which includes 50 girls and students came from over 20 states
Weaknesses: ¡ Lack of permanent officials and staff members ¡ Irregular funding ¡ Lack of space to accommodate 200 students in library ¡ Lack of coordination between Centre and the funding agency ¡ Lack of basic infrastructure like Computer Lab.
Opportunities: ¡ Thousand of underprivileged students, specially of minorities, SC and STs communities expect quality and free coaching from university like Jamia ¡ The qualified and experienced faculty members of Iamia Millia Islamia could provide a cutting edge to the coaching along with the professionals ¡ The Centre can be developed as a role model for various type of coaching, both for the internal and external candidates ¡ The syllabus of B.A (programme) of Jamia Millia Islamia matches with that of IAS

examination. The Students have to be properly informed and motivated in the first year itself to prepare for IAS examination. ¡ The government is giving attention towards minorities’ education, coaching and scholarship. The Centre can be a good link between the goal of the government and the aspirants of different competitive examinations.
Challenges: ¡ The lack of zeal and motivation among the students of minority communities ¡ The lack of financial assistance among the students of minority communities ¡ The women students of muslim minority are far behind than their sisters of other
communities. To bring them for coaching classes and prepare for competitive examination is still a big challenge
¡ To convince the parents of the aspirants that they have to support their child during the preparation stage of competitive examination in all possible ways and not to force them for doing odd jobs
¡ The irregularities in the planning, budgeting and beaurocratic hurdle and to work with the people without vision and mission
52. Future plans of the Department ¡ Observation reveal that after completing 10+ or graduation, most students lack adequate
information regarding proper coaching facilities available to them. In this process, more often than not, they remain without a proper institutional support that may help them prepare for furtherance of their careers. It is for this purpose that the Centre offers a variety of coaching programmes for entering into services and seeking admission to various professional courses. Some of the remedial and competitive programmes being offered by the Centre include:
¡ Coaching for Civil Services Examinations (Prelims and Mains) including programmes on language skills and personality development.
¡ Coaching for employment in other public and private sector undertakings ¡ Coaching for writing UGC/CSIR: NET/JRF for entry into university and research institutions. ¡ Coaching for admission to B. Tech. ¡ Coaching for admission to Diploma in Engineering. ¡ Coaching for admission to B. Ed. ¡ Coaching for admission to Diploma in Elementary Teacher Education.
