Code Red: Getting distributed. Getting distributed as a small, very low budget movie was extremely hard, but we managed to find a distribution company: Imagine Studios, who agreed to distribute our movie opening even though it wasn’t the best names or actors in the movie. Our search for a distribution company was long, but we finally found one, and they were extremely helpful in getting our movie a bit more know. Obviously because the company isn't too well known either, our movie wasn’t show in various locations but we managed to get it shown in a cinema called green on the screen.

Code Red: Getting distributed.Getting distributed as a small, very low budget movie was extremely

hard, but we managed to find a distribution company: Imagine Studios, who agreed to distribute our movie opening even though it

wasn’t the best names or actors in the movie. Our search for a distribution company was long, but we finally found one, and they

were extremely helpful in getting our movie a bit more know. Obviously because the company isn't too well known either, our movie wasn’t show in various locations but we managed to get it

shown in a cinema called green on the screen.

If we had a larger budget…

• If he had a larger budget we would’ve been able to be working with some of the larger distribution companies for example Paramount pictures, the distributer for movies like Shutter Island, The Devil Inside and Shrek.

The issue with Paramount pictures

• One of the problems with trying to get a company like this to distribute your film, is the fact that we didn’t have any actors that would the appeal to them, and getting in contact with them would be close to impossible for such a small group of media students. For paramount pictures their main interests are to distribute movies like Shutter Island all the time, the best selling suspense(Thriller) of 2010. Shutter Island helped the suspense area make £42,441,123 in 2010. Therefore trying to get a company like that to distribute or movie would be extremely hard…

Reasons why a company like that would be a good distributer for our thriller

• If we had a very well known distributer like paramount pictures we would have been able to get our thriller shown in many more locations and countries other than just the Green Screen in Angel. It would allow us to have a much wider audience. Also it would help us become more known so that if we were to make the rest of the film and release it, we would then hopefully have a worldwide audience that would know about our film which would help our sales.

Getting Code Red Produced.

• Getting Code Red produced was a lot easier than getting it distributed. As we are students in CandI we had CandI Studios to produce our film for us.

Why we didn’t have a big production company

• They are incredibly hard to get into contact with, and they aren't likely to invest a lot of money into such a low budget film being scripted by media students.

Suitable production companies for my thriller.

• Some companies that would be good for our film would be paramount pictures, and Columbia. This again because they were highly involved in the making of Shutter Island which has some similar suspense and thriller features as our film.
