Shearing Machine (Hydraulic) - To cut metallic sheets with accuracy upto thickness of 8 mm & of length 3 meters at one stroke
One of our greatest strengths is that for VCBs, we
use embedded pole technology, and for RMUs,
laser welding of stainless steel tanks with lowest
leakage rate and better aesthetics, and the highest
value of short circuit breaking capacity type tested
by any manufacturer ie. 21.5kA at 12kV. Apart
from KEMA, all our products are type tested in
CESI, Italy in addition to our in-house testing
facilities in technology center in Switchcraft
Europe GmbH, Germany.
The new factory is an asset that will help us stretch

across the globe. Its innovative and modern design
complements the latest production technology. This
state-of-the-art medium voltage switchgear has
been taken as the benchmark for medium voltage
systems upto 24kV.
The iGIS Ring Main Unit uses modular technogy
and is reliable, safe and maintenance free and
guarantees the highest accuracies realizing almost
100% gas tightness. Since it has been
manufactured with the latest filling and testing
techniques, it offers superior performance. It's also
easy to use and SCADA compatible.
The key features are :
• Modular Technology
•· Indoor and Outdoor versions
•· Innovative design
•· Safe & Reliable Operation
•· Designed for intelligent networks
•· compact and easy to use
•· Manual & Remote Control
•· Maintenance free
•· Environment friendly
•· Assured gas tightness across product life
•· Fully extensible
The iGIS Ring Main Unit is basically a three-pole
metal enclosed switchgear that has been designed
for indoor use upto 24 kV and currents upto 630A.
It also offers an outdoor version with a full kiosk
enclosure option.
The iGIS Ring Main Unit consists of a stainless steel
tank made from 3mm thick, laser welded steel
plates filled with insulation material and a
separate cable compartment made from
galvanized steel sheets.
iGIS Switchboards are manufactured in-house
with epoxy resin components. The greatest
advantage is that these are tested individually
using the most advanced techniques. A fully
automated test is conducted on the Helium filled
gas tank which is checked stringently for leakage
before the insulating gas is filled. This procedure
guarantees total gas tightness during the whole
product life cycle.

auditee and brainstorming for eliminating these.
There was an introduction to ISO 9004 standards
and this was accompanied with takeaway
handouts. Value, Roles, Responsibilities and
Contribution as qualities were demonstrated using
a humorous and effective communication exercise
involving volunteers. A mock audit was conducted
and an example of being a special auditor was
displayed using 4 glasses of water. The trainer
used effective examples and activities which built
strong recall in the minds of participants and are
sure to improve the entire Audit Process.
The key takeaways from the session were strengths
and weaknesses as an auditor, Quality & Auditing
terms, 3 'P's - Plan, Prepare & Practice, Fact finding
skills, Preparation of audit / checklist, attributes of
an auditor, value chain and report writing skills.
The feedback from participants was that it was
simple and effective, offered a systematic
approach and clarified expectations from an audit
both as an auditor and auditee. They also felt that it
had been a good interactive session with effective
examples. The programme accomplished all its
objectives successfully.

motivate our Auditors to add more value to the
process during the course of their everyday work
routines. The training started with a quick look at
the basic definitions of Quality and Audit terms.
Following this, there was a group activity on
expectations out of audits as an auditor and an
auditee followed by types of audit, process and
advantages of an audit. A role play was enacted
