Unicom attendance system, maintains the history of attendance for every employee, either manually updated or updated using an attendance system (biometric, smart card, etc.) . Attendance system uses the same Year and Period of Finance Module.

Calendar defines the working days for every year. There can be multiple calendars related to different group of employees.Shifts defines the working hours, which can be different for days in a week or for special Ramadan timing. Employees are assigned to shift.

Attendance can be updated manually or using smart card or biometric machines like finger print machines. The update from finger print machine can be automated. The shifts are compared with actual Check Ins and Check Outs for ascertaining Lateness, Overtime and Absence.Attendance are reported in various formats, as required by the organization.

Different Benefits like Basic Salary, Transportation, Housing, GOSI, etc. and deductions like loan, absence, etc. can be defined and linked to the account and department code in finance. Then for each employee, it can be defined either on a general basis or for specific period.

Any advance given to employee or other regular deductions like accommodation rent to be charged to employee can be entered into a deduction schedule, in relation to a deduction defines, to make proper accounting entry, it will be automatically updated in the payroll based on the schedule.

Payroll process can be done for different group of employees differently. Even after the process, until it is posted, if any changes is required it can re-process multiple time. One it is posted, since it update all employee balances and finance, it cannot reprocess.
