1 Annual Report For the year ended June 30, 2017 Our Mission: To accelerate the pace of positive environmental change by unleashing the collaborative power of motivated businesses and passionate people in support of our vital network of member organizations. Our Purpose: To ensure a thriving future for all inhabitants of our beautiful planet. Our Vision: An inclusive and engaged network of purpose-driven individuals and organizations working together to ensure a healthy and sustainable environment. 2017: Innovating Sustainable Solutions for our Planet EarthShare’s nationwide network includes nearly 600 state-based, national and international American nonprofits, proudly supported by EarthShare at Work programs and employee philanthropy. EarthShare’s Chapters, State Affiliates, and benefiting member organizations engaged thousands of people in philanthropic, educational, and community volunteerism activities in 2017 to help care for and protect the world we share. The EarthShare network delivered more than $3.8 million in funding to America’s most respected and responsible environmental and conservation organizations in 2017. This included $134,744 raised through EarthShare at Work partnerships, $42,000 of which represented grants and sponsorship revenue for members involved in our corporate engagement programs. With nearly 30 years of experience in engaging private and public sector employees around environmental issues, EarthShare remained focused on opportunities to harness the power of purposeful employees to support achievement of corporate sustainability goals. EarthShare finalized and published its three-year strategic plan in 2017 to guide the organization in all activities through 2020. In it the organization identified five primary strategies to help its network engage more people and resources in the care of our environment. Our strategy is focused on achieving an inclusive, involved, and purpose-driven network that is empowered to create the change our planet needs to flourish and ensure a thriving future.
