TRAVEL NOTES FOR A SEAMLESS JOURNEY
LandscapeMui Ne is a coastal fishing town in the Bình Thuận Province of Vietnam. The town, with approximately 25,000 residents is a ward of the city of Phan Thiết. The area boasts many Cham Towers and many Cham people still reside in the area. Mui Ne is also famous for being one of the top destinations for kite surfing and windsurfing with strong sea breezes.
PeopleVietnamese people are very friendly and keen to help at any time. Should you have the privilege to be invited into a private home, rice will be served with most meals and the host will give a sign to start eating. Dishes should be passed with both hands. When eating noodle soup, hold the bowl close to your face with the flat spoon in your left hand and the chopsticks in your right. When you have finished eating, rest your chopsticks on top of your bowl as it is considered bad luck to leave these standing in the food.
WeatherWeather in Phan Thiết is considered tropical, with separate wet & dry season. Winter is the dry season, with more than two months of less than 60 mm (2.4mm) rain. Average monthly temperatures are above than 18°C (64°F). The hottest month is May, when max temperature is about 34°C. Rain and thunderstorms are common. The coldest month is December, however temperatures can still reach 22 C by night.
ArrivalTan Son Nhat International Airport in Ho Chi Minh City has numerous daily international and domestic departures to destinations throughout Asia and the globe. TIPS FOR TRAVELLERSVietnam currently allows nationals of 23 countries to enter Vietnam without a visa for varying time periods, most of the countries being members of the Association of South East Asia Nations (ASEAN). In general, you must hold a passport valid for 6 months and must obtain a visa in advance if you do not come from one of the visa exempt countries.
