BackingUpControllerSettingsIf you are an ESLAudit lock administrator, it is recommended that you back up thesettingsofeachlockyouareresponsibleformanaging.Eachtimeyouchangeasettingonthelock,youwillbeaskedtodoabackupbyinsertingaUSBFlashdriveintotheUSBconnector. If you aremanagingmultiple locations, each location should use a uniqueFlashdrivetoavoidover-writingdatafromothersystems.

Note:Usersettingsandsystemconfigurationarenotchangedwiththisprocess.ESLConfig

ESLConfigisaPCapplicationthatallowsuserstomodifythesettingsofanESLAuditsystem.Tousethisutility,youmustfirstdownloadthesystemsettingsfromtheapplicablecontroller(seepage6).AftertheESLConfigprogramisinstalledonaPCandtheprogramisrunning,inserttheflashdriveintothePC’sUSBport.FromtheFilemenuonthetopleftofthescreen,selectOpen,and then choose the appropriate file on the flash drive. The name of the file saved by thecontrollerwillbeESLAUDIT.EAS.Backup copies of system configurations can be saved. To save a backup copy of theconfiguration,selectFileatthetopleft-handcornerofthewindowandchooseSave.Thiswillsaveabackupcopywiththefilenameofthecontrollerserialnumberfollowedbythedateandtime the file was saved by the controller (EAxxxxxxx.yy.mm.dd.hh.mm). The file type is ESLSetup(.EAS).

TomoveacopyofasystemconfigurationfromESLConfigtoacontroller,selectFileatthetopleft-handcornerof thewindow, chooseOutput toFlashDrive, and then chooseAll. ThiswillsavetheconfigurationfilewiththenameESLAUDIT.EAS.Toloadtheconfigurationfileintothecontroller,seepage6.Settingsaremodifiedonthescreensthatareshownbelow:

System&LockSetup

DaylightSavingsAutoDaylightSavingsEnablewillcausethesystemclocktochangeappropriatelyontheSundaymorningoftheindicatedweek.DuressDuress Alarm Enable will activate duress codes. Duress codes are both one numberhigherandonenumberlowerthananyPINvalue.Forexample,ifyourPINis515151,ifyoulogintothesystemwitheitherPIN515152or515150,aduresssignalwillbesenttothemonitoring station through the store’s alarm system. For this feature to function,theoptionalACexpansionmodulemustbeinstalledandconnectedtothestore’salarmsystem.AuxInputAuxInputisafeaturethatallowsanoptionalswitchtobeinstalledintotheoptionalACexpansionmodule. If this feature is installed and enabled and Time Lock is enabled,

when the switch is pressed, the safe is put into immediate lockout the Aux Input isopenedandthereisanappropriateTimeLockOpenPeriod.HolidaysScheduled holidays are days that the safe cannot be opened. The lockout runs frommidnighttomidnight.

LockSetupThe bottom half of the screen is used for lock settings. You can move between thesettingsforLock1andLock2byusingthePrev.andNextbuttonsonthebottomofthescreen.

LockTypeThissettingiscurrentlyunusedatthistime.DoorHoldTimeThissettingcontrolsthenumberofsecondsthatauserhastoopenthedooraftertheappropriateopendoorsoftkeyispressed.

DoorOpenTimeThissettingcontrolsthenumberofminutesthedoorcanbeleftopenbeforethealarmgoesoff.

DualControlThisrequirestwouserstoopenthespecifieddoor.

ImmediateLockIf Immediate Lock is enabled and Time Lock is enabled, when a user with theappropriatepermissionspressesI-lock(1)fromtheMainMenuandselectsadoor,theselecteddoorisputintoaone-TimeLockoutuntiltheendoftheI-Lockperiod.

TimeDelayToenablethisfeature,checktheTimeDelayboxfortheapplicablelock.DelayPeriodThis is the number of minutes that must elapse before the applicable door can beopened.OncetheDelayPeriodhaspassed,theuser(s)willhavethenumberofminutesintheOpenPeriodtologinandopentheapplicabledoor.OpenPeriodThisistheamountoftimeauserhastologinandopenadooraftertheDelayPeriodhaspassed.IftheOpenPeriodpasses,userswillhavetologinandwaitforanewDelayPeriodtoexpirebeforetheywillbegiventheopportunitytoopenthedoor.

TimeLockTheTimeLockboxmustbecheckedtoenable this feature.Whenenabled,a lockcanonlybeopenedduringanopenperiod.Uptofouropenperiodscanbedefinedforeachdayoftheweek.Foreachopenperiod,thestartingtimeisestablishedOpenTimeandthedurationofeachopenperiodisspecifiedinhours.Settingsareestablishedforeachdayoftheweek.Byclickingonanyofthethreeduplicatedisplaysettingboxes,youcancopythesettingsforthedaythatisdisplayedtootherdays.

UserSetup

ThesecondtabintheESLConfigprogramistheUserSetuptab.

EditUsersToeditusers,scrollthroughtheusernumberswiththePrev.andNextbuttonslocatedontheupperrightoftheUserSetupscreen.TheAddandDelbuttonsareusedtoaddordeleteauser.TypesofUsersThereareeightstandarduserprofileswithpredeterminedpermissions:
