I'm a Health Advocate. The experience of recovering my wellness after getting hit withvestibular neuritis + vestibular migraines (I call this my "vestibular something") in
October 2016 shaped me, and continues to in a big way. I am overflowing withgratitude and bursting at the seams to share what helped me heal, eventually thrive,
and uncover bliss along the way. I created Bliss Out (www.bliss-out.co) as I was healingfrom my vestibular something and knew I wanted to share the diet that was my
foundation and had nourished and supported my mind & body every step of the way. Ibelieve that we should be empowered when it comes to our wellness as we navigate
the twists and turns of life. I believe that we are meant to thrive in this human-experience.
I'm an AFPA Certified Holistic Nutritionist and forever a student of holistic health which
was only further inspired by my journey with a vestibular condition. I've embraceda plant-based diet since 2009 because it provides the sustenance for my happy soul.Simply put, it changed my life, how I felt about myself, the kindness I could bring into
the world, and how I approach food and my wellness. I'm a lover of delicious andnourishing foods.
I’m a mom of two beautiful boys that are my light and love in the universe, and
inspiration to own my wellness and contribute to a better world. I'm most comfortablewhen my hair has some pink color in it and a matcha latte in hand (or chaga + plant milk
& maple syrup = joy).

getting started with essential oilsthis experience has taught me that I have to be my own advocate.The month after I was hit with that vestibular stuff, a dear friend introduced me to pure essential oils. I was desperate for something to helpmy body heal, but hopeful. I had met this friend years earlier through the blogging world and I trusted her.
importantly, i was in need of a holistic support system.I had read that pure essential oils could help with vertigo, dizziness, mental fatigue, and many of the other symptoms I was coping with. Ipurchased an starter kit and the day the beautiful box of oils arrived I smiled feeling like this could be something my heart needed. It tookme time to experiment with oils and determine my favorites. All the oils and blends have wonderful supportive qualities, but the beauty ofthem is that you can tailor them to the areas that you want to target + support. I immersed myself in the world of oils reading all I could tolearn. I read about Oregano essential oil and how it supports a healthy immune system, is a powerful cleansing agent and offers powerfulantioxidants. Basically it fights the bad stuff in your body and I knew I had something going on - I mean this happened to me for a reason. Ifelt off and even if a doctor told me that I checked out completely normal, I knew I was simply not ok. I started rubbing a drop of Oreganoessential oil (diluted with fractionated coconut oil) on my feet daily. That next week, I had an appointment with a holistic doctor whodetermined that a fungus from the ear infection was really messing me up. He also discovered that Oregano essential oil could be just thething I needed to start to heal.
thank you, universe.So, I discovered the power of Oregano on my own, but having it confirmed that it could help me felt amazing. I’ve since upgraded myregimen and use a variety of essential oils daily. I’ve learned how to use essential oils to aid in the healing process in many ways (dealing withmigraines, stress, anxiety, fatigue). I’ve also learned how to use oils to support the wellness of my family.

decisions that I have made for my wellbeing.When I first was hit with the vestibular stuff, I felt like it took somuch away from me, but embracing a holistic support system gaveme the opportunity to support my body and take my life back.
What started as me rubbing oregano essential oil on
my feet, created a blissful shift in the way I
approached my health.A few months into my oils journey, I started teaching classes, both inperson and online. It felt so damn good to create a wellnessempowered movement and focus on something other than thedisorder. It also gave me the opportunity to continuously learn morewhile connecting with others wanting to make a shift in their lives. Ididn’t plan to become a wellness mentor, it just sort of happened.Sometimes things just find you and in this case my passion to

Peppermint essential oil
you get that i love
peppermint essential oil…The roller bottle (pre-diluted with fractionated coconut oil) is perfect for
applying to the temples + back of the neck to ease a headache, migraine or tension. In the beginning I kept a bottle of pure
peppermint oil in my purse to use aromatically (put a drop in my hands and
inhale) just to bring me back into the
moment when anxiety felt like it was crashing over me.
Massaging it on the back of my neck eases tension and helped me relax when
symptoms were becoming overwhelming.
Bonus: motivate- the
encouraging blend. I think
of it as a ‘sigh of relief’. It promotes confidence + courage, and I’ve created an emotional connection (more on that soon) and it works with
me when I need that extra support.

For example, starting the diffuser 20
minutes before going to bed is the
perfect way to set the stage for

basil essential oil also helps an earache –

When I experience any vestibular migraine symptoms, these two oils
are my go-to. I think of Basil as unwinding and Peppermint as
cooling + refreshing. There have been many nights that I’ve
woken up with a pounding migraine and applying these two oils every
hour has been a gamechanger.
