•Coca-Cola vice-president, strategy and commercial beverages, Sangeeta Pendurkar, is quitting beverage maker to take over as Managing Director of Kellogg’s India.

•Ms. Pendurkar will replace Anupam Dutta who, after three years as MD of Kellogg’s India, relocated last month to head Kellogg’s South Africa and sub-Sahara operations.

•Over the last 18 months at Coca Cola, Ms. Pendurkar steered the revamp of company’s Georgia tea and coffee businesses, and innovation in beverages like Nimbu Fresh.

•Aulbur will complete five years as the Indian Head of German car-maker Mercedes by the end of 2010.

•Aulbur has deciced to accept a new challenge outside the Daimler group within India.

•Aulbur will remain with Mercedes-Benz India till a successor is identified to ensure a smooth transaction.

•The government has given a booster shot to the economy in the form of a 10% salary increase for 88 lakh employees and pensioners.

•The total dearness allowance increase in the current year is a massive 18%.

•The government will pay Rs. 9,303 crore extra every year to Central Government employees.

•As per the recommendation of the sixth pay commission, DA will be available on both grade pay and running pay.

•TATA group’s logistic venture DIESL to impart training to about 10,000 drivers on road safety in next two years in view of rising number of road accidents.

•The training session will be conducted via internet through a live video module.

•Tata Management Training Centre will be providing the technology assistance.

•Training session will cover:

oPresentation on road safety.oVideo clips on the reasons of accidents and precaution.oDefensive driving.oTraffic rules and regulations.

•ICICI has completed the integration of employees of Bank of Rajasthan with its own workforce within 30 days of getting ownership of business.

•Employees have been offered a two-stage increase in wages for accepting ICICI Bank’s HR terms, which include:oDropping out of trade union membershipoAdhering to the bank’s 9 to 6 work hours.

•BoR employees have been migrated to ICICI Bank pay scale.

•BoR employees salary package increase by 20-25%, bank will not have a voluntary retirement scheme.

•Wage bill of BoR has gone up from around Rs. 150 crore to around Rs. 185 core.

•The acquisition of BoR has given ICICI Bank a two-year lead in building up a 463 branch network.
