    Lets look at some of the sentences in Indies email to Emma.

    In questions, we use do + infinitive.

    1. Put your thread together so that all the ends meet.

    2. Fold the thread in half and knot in the middle. You now have six strands of thread.

    3. Tape the knot to your desk.

    4. Starting from left to right, use the thread on the left to make a double knot around each of the other strings (look at illustration to see what a double knot looks like).

    5. Use the yellow thread on the far left to make a double knot around the red thread, then use the second red and the green; then the second green then the yellow.

    6. The thread we used for knotting is now on the left and theres a diagonal row of knots across our bracelet.

    7. Again, starting from left to right, pick up the next thread and repeat the process.

    8. Continue this process of taking the left hand thread and double knotting all the way across the other threads until your bracelet is long enough to tie around your wrist.

    9. Tie a simple knot at the end of your bracelet and tie it around your friends wrist.

    A friendship bracelet is given by one person to another as a symbol of friendship. Boys and girls wear them. They are made of colourful thread.
