Pixie 3 Workshop Outcomes
• The outcome for this workshop is that you will be able to create a drawing using Pixie 3.

Pixie is an art program that can be used to paint, draw, write, photograph and record.
The 3 refers to versions of the
program.

Pixie is compatible with all current versions of Windows, Macs, iPad’s and Android platforms.
Since the district functions on the Windows platform, we will be using this version during our training today.

To locate the Pixie program follow these prompts.
1. Log on
2. Find the Pixie Icon and double click it
3. Allow the program to load, do not click any other buttons.

Program Basics
The dashboard allows you to access the programs main functions.
While this program has many features, we will begin by exploring the paint portion.
On the right side select the paint icon.

Paint Tools
On the right side of the screen are the available paint tools.
These can be used by clicking on the icons.
Some of the included tools are brushes, crayons, paints, erasers and markers.
If you want to undo something, click on undo button located at the top of the screen. ©Jeff Arndt 2013

Mini Project Exploration 1 - Cityscape
From 9:00-9:20 explore the various paint tools.
1. Create a cityscape of your choice. This can be grounded in fantasy or reality, the purpose is to explore the tools.
2. Be prepared to share your drawing and at least 1 tool that you found helpful in creating it. ©Jeff Arndt 2013
