Process of producing similar population of genetically
identical individuals
New among humans but not on plants
Technique used - Somatic Cell Nuclear Transfer
The idea can be exciting but is very troublesome for

TYPES OF CLONING
Recombinant DNA technology or DNA cloning:-
common practice in molecular biology labs today.

ANIMAL CLONING
Till date, cloned animal species: cat, horse, gaur, rabbit,
deer, chickens, cows, mice, goats, pigs, mules, and rat.
Most animal cloning projects, though not all, are aimed
solely at human ends, such as the treatment of diseases,
better food production, or entertainment.
Projects in progress: cloning the extinct Asian cheetah, and
wooly mammoth

CONCLUSION
Everything has some pros and cons, but the society
should use the facility of the science and technology in
a constructive way for its own survival and not in a
