3. Way forward

Page 27: EUFETEC European Feed Technology Center Mission and objectives NOVI SAD, September 29 th

• Finalization of (1st edition of) EUFETEC Vision Document;

• Increase the “visibility” of EUFETEC at European level

Communicate FEED (and livestock) research priorities to EC (e.g. FP 8);

Interact with European Technology Platforms (ETP’s)•Animal Task Force•BECOTEPS

Page 28: EUFETEC European Feed Technology Center Mission and objectives NOVI SAD, September 29 th

• Increase the “visibility” of EUFETEC, also at national levels

EUFETEC Lecture Tours : research dissemination and interaction with feed business operators

•Participation in FP 7 calls :Field2Trough (Sustainable food and feed processing - KBBE-2009-2-3-03) BENEFEED (Food Quality & Safety – KBBE-2010-2-4-03)ASTER (KBBE-2010-1-4-01)

Page 29: EUFETEC European Feed Technology Center Mission and objectives NOVI SAD, September 29 th

• Contribute to EU policy objectives :

1.Providing companies with tools to comply with feed safety legislation (HACCP, homogeneity tests, carry-over tests, etc.);

2.Developing feed industry standards / self checking;

3.Completing the scientific background in certain areas;

4.Contributing to improve the sustainability of EU agriculture through valorization of by-products and to improve the environmental impact of animal products through their life cycle;
