Several guys have come to me with items of the uniform that either doesn't fit or they no longer use. Therefor we have a PX in the newsletter. If you have any items you want to trade or sell, have Tim put it in the PX and we will see if anyone needs it. I hope this will be some help to our new mem- bers. The Ball was a great success and was at- tended well by our membership. Thanks to all that came. There are still a few of you that have- n't picked up your gifts. I will have them again at our meeting. It is time now that we start getting more active on getting things ready for the con- vention. I hope to have a committee meeting in the near future. Perhaps before the regular meeting. Committee leaders, be sure to have your reports ready so everyone knows where you are. Anyone that has a nomination for a award, please let me know. I need to have them so I can make decisions and get proper ribbons etc. or- dered. Also anyone nominated for department or national has a deadline in getting that in. Hope you all had a good Thanksgiving and plans for the Christmas holiday. Unfortunately I won't be able to make the Christmas supper. I have an- other engagement, but I'm sure it will be a fun time. Senior Vice Commandant Report:

Marines, Well, Thanksgiving is done and Christmas holiday is ahead. As of this time the Christmas/ornament exchange party will be at the America Restaurant on Southgate Dr. (where we did the recent flag raising). The date will be December 2nd at 1830, order-

ing will be from the menu. Bring an ornament to exchange (or steal). Toys for tots will be needing help picking up toys and manning the store at the fairgrounds. This time of year always seems to generate more funerals to provide details for so if you can, help Keith in getting them manned. The sweethearts dinner will be in February, so think of a place were you would like to take your sweet-heart to eat. That’s all for now. Enjoy the holidays and have a Happy New Year too! Jr. Vice Commandants Report:

Thanks Gents for expressing interest in the Devil Dogs. Currently this is all I really know of the Devil Dogs other than my single initiation Growl in Butte. If you do choose to join up we will be carried by the Butte Pound until we hit all the marks to charter ourselves. There are a couple of qualifiers you should know. Regular members only and a 1 year league member in good stand-ing. Upon acceptance you are brought in as a "pup" and advance to a "Devil Dog" after your first year. You can advance to "Pedigree Devil Dog" by attending a national convention after achieving your Devil Dog. I am not sure if you are required to have your Devil Dog for 1 year prior to advancing to ODD. Scott Dunlap, Sr. Vice [email protected] (406) 281-1271

Chaplains Report:

Fellow members and families, Greetings and I pray eve-ry ones thanksgiving turned out great. Before I forget, Maurice Deverill's wife asked that he be dropped from the ranks because of his failing health. I sent a card and prayer. Also keeping my eye on Charles Doolittle, a life mem-

ber, personal friend, fellow Marine, and most im-portant a true man of God. Seems as though we have had a lot of funerals lately. So let us pray for the families of those past. Also it is good that we pray for each other, for it certainly helps us all. It will be past Jesus day so want to wish all a Great Christmas and to remember the real reason why we celebrate. Well, have to get this to the editor before I get demoted. May the Lords blessings be upon all. I should see everyone at the meeting. Semper Fi &God Bless and see you in 2018.
