3. ARRIVALS
3.1 Arrival by Air
Schiphol International Airport is the official airport. Upon arrival, teams will be welcomed
by a team attendant at the arrival gate on the airport. Once luggage has been
collected, the team attendant will accompany the team to the buses which will take
them to the IBIS Hotel. Transfer times from the airport to the IBIS Hotel are 15 minutes.
3.2 Arrival by Train
For teams arriving at the Railway Stations, Amsterdam Central or Schiphol, a team
attendant will be meeting the team at these stations. The team attendant will
accompany the team to the buses which will take them to the IBIS Hotel. Teams that will
arrive by train should contact the LOC (Bastiaan Bretveld, hotel & transport coordinator;
[email protected]) prior for their departure for further details. Transfer times from the
station to the IBIS Hotel are 15-30 minutes.
3.3 Arrival by Road
Teams arriving by road are kindly asked to go directly to the IBIS Hotel or IBIS budget
Hotel (Schipholweg 181-185, 1171 PK BADHOEVEDORP), where a team attendant will be
meeting the team. Teams that will arrive by road should contact the LOC (Bastiaan
Bretveld, hotel & transport coordinator; [email protected]) prior for their departure for
further details.
3.4 Welcome Service
An information desk will be located at the IBIS Hotel, and will be open on Friday May 23rd
from 12:00 pm until 7:00 pm and on Saturday May 24th from 5:30 am until 9:30 am and
from 6:30 pm till 9:30 pm. In case the information desk is closed, the LOC (Elisa Smit,
secretary; [email protected]) can be contacted via the team attendant in case of
need.

3.5 Transportation of Equipment
Poles and other equipment can be stored at the Olympic Stadium. There will be a
separate bus that brings the equipment to the stadium. All poles and equipment will be
labeled and the owner will get a deposit voucher. Only with this deposit voucher the
poles and equipment can be retrieved in the stadium.
3.6 Visa Requirements
Only the team from Turkey requires a visa to enter the Netherlands. This visa should be
obtained before leaving Turkey, from the Dutch Embassy or Consulate. Should you have
any problems, or require a letter of invitation please contact the LOC (Elisa Smit,
secretary; [email protected]).

4. TRANSPORT
4.1 Transport Desk
The transport desk will be part of the information desk and is located at IBIS Hotel. The
transport desk will be open on Friday May 23rd from 12:00 pm until 7:00 pm and on
Saturday May 24th from 5:30 am until 9:30 am and from 6:30 pm till 9:30 pm. In case the
transport desk is closed, the LOC (Bastiaan Bretveld, hotel & transport coordinator;
[email protected]) can be contacted via the team attendant in case of need.
4.2 Bus Shuttle Service
A regular bus shuttle service will be provided between the airport, the train stations, the
team hotels and the stadium.
On Thursday May 22nd, transportation will be organized from the airport or train station
to the IBIS Hotel based on the arrival times of the teams. The team attendant will
coordinate the transportation after the arrival of the team.
On Friday May 23rd, transportation will be organized from the airport or train station to
the IBIS Hotel based on the arrival times of the teams. The team attendant will coordinate
the transportation after the arrival of the team. In addition, a shuttle service will be
organized between the IBIS hotel and the stadium (including training session) from 12:00
pm until 10:00 pm. A schedule with the departure times of the busses will be available at
the information desk in the IBIS hotel and at the stadium.
On Saturday May 24th, a shuttle service will be organized between the IBIS Hotel and
the stadium from 6:00 am until 10:00 pm. A schedule with the departure times of the
busses will be available at the information desk in the IBIS hotel and at the stadium.
On Sunday May 25th, transportation will be organized from the IBIS Hotel to the airport or
train station based on the departure times of the teams. The team attendant will
communicate the departure time of the busses with the team on Saturday latest. Also
their will be a schedule with the departure times of the busses available at the
information desk in the IBIS Hotel and at the stadium.
4.3 Return to Airport / Train stations

Transport will be arranged according to the flight or train schedules submitted by the
teams. Further information will be provided by the team attendant.
4.4 Public transport from the Hotel to the City center
During the complete weekend, there is regular public transport between the IBIS Hotel
and the city centre of Amsterdam. This public transport is not arranged by the LOC and
the costs will be on your own account.
The public transport will depart from the ‘Cateringweg’, which is 4 minutes walk from
the hotel (see the map below). Bus 197 will arrive at the Leidsesquare (‘Leidseplein’)
within 30 minutes. The last bus towards to city centre will depart at 0:30 am. From the city
centre back to the hotel the last bus is at 00:20. The costs are €5.00 for a single trip.
During the night, after 1:00 am, there is a special night-bus “N97”, which departs
once an hour. The costs for this bus are also €5.00 for a single trip.

5. ACCOMMODATION & HOTEL INFORMATION
5.1 General Information
The LOC has reserved the IBIS Hotel for all the teams. The IBIS Hotel is a good quality hotel,
providing full board accommodation and easy accessibility to both the centre of
Amsterdam and the competition venue.
5.2 Information Desk
An information desk will be located at the IBIS Hotel, and will be open on Friday May 23rd
from 10:00 am until 7:00 pm and on Saturday May 24th from 5:30 am until 9:30 am and
from 6:30 pm till 9:30 pm. In case the information desk is closed, the LOC (Bastiaan
Bretveld, hotel & transport coordinator; [email protected]) can be contacted via the
team attendant in case of need.
General questions about the hotel service can be addressed to the front office team of
the IBIS hotel.
5.3 Official Hotels
The LOC has reserved rooms at the IBIS Hotel for all teams. The IBIS Hotel has two large
buildings next to each other. Some general information about the hotel:

Facilities: In the IBIS Hotel, breakfast is available from 4:00 am until 12:00 am. In the

hotels have free Wi-Fi.

5.4 Costs and European Athletics Quota
According to EAA Regulation 1410.6.1 the visiting clubs should pay a contribution of
1600€ for a one-day competition to the organizer (at the venue) for full board
accommodation expenses. This amount is to cover the accommodation for 2 nights for
the maximum number of quota team members which is at the men’s and women’s
competition each 22 athletes + 4 officials max.
A rate of 70 euro per person per night must be paid for “out of quota” team
members (athlete or official) and for each additional night (including meals and VAT).
Final invoices, that will be sent after the final entries, will be calculated according to
the data registered in the final entries.
All payments must be settled in EUR, by the teams either by bank transfers before the
event or in cash during the accreditation on Friday.

Please also note that the hotel booking for out of quota officials will be subject to
rooms availability.
The team leader must settle any extra charges (bar, laundry, telephone, etc.) at the
hotel reception desk, before departure. The team leader will be requested to provide a
credit card at the time of checking in at the front office desk to cover any extra charges.
5.5 Meals
Breakfast will be served in the hotels (see 5.3; Official Hotels for time details). On Thursday
dinner will be served at the IBIS Hotel (5:30 pm until 11:00 pm).

On Friday and Saturday dinner will be served at the stadium. The restaurant opening
times in the Stadium will be at Friday from 5.00 pm until 7:00 pm, Saturday from 6:30 pm
until 8:00 pm. There will be a buffet where you could chose three different kind of meals
(vegetarian and meat, no pork will be served).
By arriving at the stadium the teams will receive their lunchboxes from the team
attendant. Accreditation cards together with meal vouchers (which will be given to
teams during accreditation) will allow access to meals.
For lunch and dinner: fruit, mineral water, tea and coffee are available free of
charge. All other drinks must be paid for.
A late serving provision will be made for those athletes detained at the stadium due to
doping controls or protests.

6. ACCREDITATION
6.1 General
Each team member will receive an accreditation card, which must be worn at all times
and should be clearly visible. Security personnel will control all areas. The accreditation is
not transferable and does not allow the holder to take another person beyond
checkpoints. Photos are not required for the accreditation card system.
Accreditation cards will be prepared in advance of the event, based on the
information provided by the Member Federation in the final entry system. No changes will
be accepted after the final entry deadline.
An example of the lay-out of the accreditation cards, including the zones, is included in
Appendix 4.
6.2 Accreditation Procedure
For the teams that arrive before 12:00 pm at the hotel, the team leader is requested to
start the accreditation procedure between 12:00 pm and 2:00 pm at the information
desk. For all teams that arrive after 12:00 pm at the hotel, the team leader is requested to
start the accreditation procedure immediately after arrival at the hotel. The
accreditation procedure consists of 4 parts:
1. Payment of the accommodation and out-of-quota fees (if not already done). A
copy of the bank transfer will be required on site.
2. Receiving a folder with several documents, including:
a. Form for the final confirmation of the participating athletes
b. Form for the additional 100m heats (maximum of 2 additional athletes per
team)
c. Form for the questions for the technical meeting
3. Filling in of form a and b by the team leader
4. Receiving of all the accreditation cards for the entire team when forms a and b
are returned and controlled by the information desk representative(s).
The form for questions for the technical meeting needs to be returned to the information
desks at 6:00 pm latest.

6.3 Loss of an Accreditation Card
Any lost, found or damaged accreditation cards should be reported to the Technical
Information Center in the stadium. Duplicate cards can be obtained where proof of
identity can be established.
6.4 Access Areas for Teams
All team accreditation cards will allow access to the arranged bus shuttles, the stadium,
the team seating area on the tribune and the warm up area, including the changing
facilities and physiotherapy rooms at the warm up area. Only athletes who are about to
compete will have access to the call room and to the infield (under guidance of staff).
Separate cards will be issued to the team leader for access to the TIC. In addition, all
teams will receive one separate card which gives access for the coaching area near the
pole vault pit.
Access to the Doping Control: one pass will be given by a doping attendant to the
athlete upon notification and an additional pass for an accompanying person. Passes
will be collected once the athlete enters the Doping Control Station.

7. TECHNICAL INFORMATION
7.1 Technical Information Centre (TIC)
The main function of the TIC is to ensure smooth communication between each Team
Delegation, the LOC, the Technical Delegate and the Competition Administration,
regarding technical matters. The TIC is located in the stadium (see stadium plan;
Appendix 3) and will be open at the following times:
Friday May 23rd 12:00 am – 10:00 pm
Saturday May 24th 8:00 am – 8:00 pm
The TIC will be linked to all information desks set up for this event and shall be responsible
for the following:
• Receipt of written questions to be answered during the Technical Meeting
• Finale declaration, athlete withdrawal and relay confirmation forms
• Competition information (Start Lists, Results, etc.)
• Liaison point concerning technical matters between Team Officials, the Technical
Delegate, European Athletics, the LOC and Competition Management.
• Urgent notices – collection and delivery of any urgent written notices to the Team
Delegations from the Technical Delegate, EAA and LOC
• Settlement of technical enquiries from delegations
• Request of documentation for ‘national records’ (doping control and Time-Tronics
photo finish prints)
• Receipt of protests and appeals
• Recovery of confiscated items at the call room
The access to the teams’ pigeon boxes at the TIC will be controlled by separate entry
cards, not by the accreditation card (see point 6.4.).
Teams that were not able to attend the Technical Meeting, under extreme
circumstances, can collect their competition numbers from the TIC after the technical
meeting.

7.2 Technical Meeting
The Technical Meeting will be held on Friday May 23rd at 8:00 pm in the Olympic Stadium.
Each team may be represented by a maximum of two people and, if necessary, an
interpreter. It is very important that all teams are represented at the Technical Meeting.
All questions related to the Technical Meeting must be presented in writing (in
English), to the LOC information desk in the hotel or to the TIC before 6:00 pm on Friday
May 23rd. The Technical Meeting will be conducted in English.
The Technical Meeting will be attended by:
• European Athletics Delegates
• Representatives of the Local Organizing Committee

7.3 Equipment
The implements provided by the LOC (see implements list, Appendix 6) are selected from
those appearing on the current IAAF approved equipment list. Personal implements will
also be allowed, providing that:
- They are readily identifiable and are IAAF certified
- They are not already on the official list
- They have been checked for compliance with IAAF Rules
- They are made available to all other athletes until the end of the event
Teams wishing to have personal implements added to the list must take the implements
to the TIC in the Olympic Stadium (see stadium plan; Appendix 3) before 6.00pm on
Friday 23 May 2014. If approved, the implements will be under the authority of the LOC
from the time of checking to the end of the event. Personal implements will be returned
only after the completion of the events at the implements office.
Each team is responsible for organizing the transport of its vaulting poles and clearing
customs when arriving on Schiphol Airport. After clearing customs at the airport or after
arrival at the train station the poles will be handed to the LOC for tagging. The poles will
be transported to the stadium. The poles will be kept in a locked storage room at the
Olympic Stadium and will be available during training times. During the competition the
poles will be brought to the field of play in due time by the organizers. After the
competition, the organizers will take the poles to the team’s hotels and further
transportation will be arranged by the organizers as required. All poles or bag of poles will
bear the identification of the athlete (tag with name, gender, country and team).
Basic implements will be provided for warm up and training.
7.4 Inspection of Competition Venue
Heads of Delegation may visit the Olympic Stadium to inspect access routes and other
facilities which will be important to the teams on Friday 23 May 2014 during the official
training session. An organized tour starts at 5:00 pm near the TIC.

7.5 Competition Area
The Olympic Stadium Amsterdam and its surroundings are shown in Appendix 3 of this
document. The stadium has the following competition facilities:
• 8 lanes
• 2 High Jump pits
• 1 Pole Vault pit
• 2 Long/Triple Jump pits
• 1 Shot Put Circle
• 1 Combined Discus/Hammer Circle
• 2 Javelin runways
At the warm up area there are 4 lanes available.
7.6 Dressing Rooms
Dressing rooms with showers are located in the stadium during/after training sessions and
at the warm-up track (Stadium plan; Appendix 3) on the event day.
7.7 Training
Athletes will have the possibility to train in the Olympic Stadium on Friday May 23rd
(Training schedule; Appendix 5).
Equipment (starting blocks, hurdles, relay batons) and basic implements will be
provided for warm up and training. Accreditation must be handed in when borrowing
equipment, and will be returned to the athlete when the equipment is handed back in.
Officials will be present to help in the case of problems or special requirements. Water will
be available at the training venues.
The Weight training room in the Olympic Stadium is situated above the TIC, and is
opened on Friday May 23rd from 1:00 pm until 5:30 pm.
7.7.1 Training with Official Starters
This will take place at the 100m start on the track in the Olympic Stadium from 4:00 pm
until 5:30 pm.

8. COMPETITION REGULATIONS
8.1 Team Composition
There will be 20 men’s events and 20 events for women. According to the European
Athletics Regulation 14.02.3.1 only clubs recognized by the Member Federation as
National Champions of the preceding year are eligible in the ECCC Track & Field Seniors.
If the Champion club is not able to take part then the Member Federation may
nominate the second placed club and so on.
Only athletes aged at least 16 (sixteen) years on 31 December of the year of the
competition may participate in the ECCC Track & Field Seniors, in accordance with IAAF
Rules.
Only athletes aged at least 18 (eighteen) years on 31 December of the year of the
competition may participate in the Shot Put (men) and Hammer Throw (men).
A Club may only select national or foreign athletes to compete in the ECCC Track &
Field: Seniors who are eligible under the Member Federation terms of eligibility at the
date in the year in which the ECCC Track & Field Seniors is held. Provided that such an
athlete is a bona fide member of that club for a period starting at least on 1 January of
the year of the ECCC Track & Field Seniors.
An athlete cannot compete for 2 different clubs which participate in at least one of
the ECCC competitions of the same year.
Member Federations must provide the list of their eligible national and foreign
athletes to European Athletics by 31 January of the year of the competition. The
Technical Delegate reserves the right to inspect resident cards or passports.
The number of foreign athletes is strictly limited to two (2) for each club team in ECCC
Track & Field Seniors.
Each club team shall consist of one athlete in each event, except relays. Each
athlete can take part in a maximum of three events of which at least one must be a
relay-race. The runners in 1500 m, 3000 m, 3000m steeplechase and 5000m are only
allowed to participate in one of these four events, if the ECCC track & Field Seniors is
held on one (1) day.

8.2 Competition Entry Procedures
8.2.1 Preliminary Entries
No later than 3 (three) months before the first day of the ECCC Track & Field Seniors,
each member federation shall send to European Athletics the preliminary number of
athletes and accompanying officials, together with their travel details and
accommodation requests.
Each participating team will have to pay a registration fee of EUR 1,000, to be paid at
the latest by the date of the closing of the preliminary entries.
8.2.2 Final Entries
Final entries shall be made through the European Athletics Event Management System
which will be accessible at the following link: https://arena.european-athletics.org/.
Member Federations' entries manager shall use their already known individual and
personalized access.
Final entries indicating the names and individual logistical information (detailed
travel arrangements, accommodation request and rooming list) of the competitors and
of the officials must be received not later than 10 (ten) days before the first competition
day. According to the regulations the deadlines for the final entries are:
• opening date of the online entry system: April 29th 2014
• deadline for the entries: May 14th 2014 24.00 CET
8.2.2 Final Confirmation
Team Leaders or their representatives must confirm the names of those competitors
already entered who will actually take part in the competition.
Forms for the final declaration and confirmation will be distributed to each team
during accreditation. The forms must be completed and returned immediately. Final start
lists will be ready for collection at the end of the Technical Meeting.
Maximum 2 athletes per team will be allowed to compete in several extra 100m
races. Entries for these extra races must be submitted during accreditation, together with
Final confirmations.

The final relay team and the running order must be submitted to the TIC using the
respective form not later than one hour before the published first call time for the first
heat of each round of the competition.
8.2.3 Withdrawal
Withdrawal of any confirmation must be indicated to the TIC at the Stadium in writing on
the official withdrawal form.
8.3 Scoring
The winner of each individual event and each relay in each match shall score as many
points as there are teams competing, the second will score one fewer, and so on.
Athletes or relay teams disqualified or not finishing shall not score.
If two or more athletes tie for a place in any event, the attributable points shall be
divided equally between them.
The team having the highest aggregate number of points shall be the winner of the
match, and so on. If two or more club teams have the same aggregate number of
points, the tie shall be decided in favor of the club team having the greater number of
event winners. If the tie still remains it shall be decided in favor of the club team having
the greater number of second places, and so on.
8.4 Bib Numbers
The LOC will provide the team delegates with bib numbers at the technical meeting. For
individual events, each competitor will receive 2 bibs. These must be pinned to the front
and back of the competition clothing. The one with the number will be pinned at the
front and the one with the land code will be at the back. Exceptions are made for High
Jumpers and Pole Vaulters: these competitors are permitted to attach the bib only to the
front or to the back of their competition clothing. Bibs must not be cut, folded or covered
in any way. The athletes will also receive a sticker with a corresponding number to put on
their bag(s) at the call room.

8.5 Competition Clothing
Competitors must wear the Club’s official team clothing. IAAF Rule 8 &143 will be strictly
applied. Please make sure to follow the IAAF Advertising Regulations in force, available
at http://www.iaaf.org/about-iaaf/documents/rules-regulations#regulations. Clothing
and items not conforming to this rule and the current IAAF Advertising Regulations will be
removed or taped at the call room.
Participating clubs must provide European Athletics with a full set of their club team
vests until the closing of the final entries and will have the obligation to wear them
throughout the competition.
All competitors must wear registered vest of the same design and color of the club they
are representing.
8.6 Lane and Starting Order
The allocations of lanes and order of attempts in field events shall be decided by a draw
conducted by the Technical Delegate. Each participating club shall be allocated a
letter which shall determine the allocation of lanes in accordance with the appropriate
chart as Appendix 1A of the European Athletics Regulations for the European Cup. Draws
for men’s and women’s teams shall be made separately (see Appendix 2).
8.7 Starting Heights
According to Appendix 1, rule 2.2.1 of the Competition Regulations, initial heights for
Track & Field Seniors Group B shall be as follows:
High Jump Men: 1.80m Women: 1.50m
Pole Vault Men: 4.00m Women: 3.00m
The heights progression will be communicated to the teams at the Technical Meeting.

9. COMPETITION PROCEDURE
9.1 Timetable
Please refer to Appendix 1 for the competition timetable.
9.2 Warming Up Before Events
Warming up will take place at the warm up area, where 4 lanes are available.
9.3 Call Room Procedures
The Call Room is located in the stadium (Appendix 4). It is the responsibility of the team
managers to ensure that their athletes are aware of the last check-in times for entry to
the call room. Athletes arriving late may be excluded from participation in the event. To
support the athletes an announcement will be made in the warm-up area 15 minutes
before the final check-in time.
All athletes must report to the Call Room before each event and will then be
escorted to the competition site as follows:

High Jump 65 minutes 50 minutes
Pole Vault 75 minutes 60 minutes
All other field events 55 minutes 40 minutes
A detailed Call Room time table will be displayed and circulated to the teams.
The following checks will be carried out on equipment that must comply with IAAF
Advertising and Competition Rules:
- Competition clothing
- Shoes
- No non-authorized equipment (radio, i-pod, mobile phone, camera, food, etc.)
may be taken onto the track/infield

9.4 Competition Preparations
9.4.1 Field Events
Each athlete is allowed a minimum of two practice trials under the supervision of the
officials, more if time allows. The athletes will be called to the practice trials in the
competition order. Only official markers provided by the LOC will be allowed for marking
the runways.
Electronic Distance Measurement will be used for the vertical jump events and the long
throw events.
9.4.2 Trials in Field Events
In accordance with the decision of European Athletics Council, all participants in the
field events (except high jump and pole vault) will be allowed four (4) trials.
The time permitted for each attempt in High Jump and Pole Vault shall be 1 (one)
minute except when consecutive attempts are by the same athlete(s) in which case
IAAF Rule 180.17(C) shall apply.
9.4.3 Track Events
Tracksuits shall be placed in baskets at the start, and these will be taken to the mixed
zone for collection after the race.
9.5 Starter’s Commands
The starter commands will be given in English. For distances up to and including 400m,
including 4 x 100m and 4 x 400m, the commands will be:
- “Prepare for the start”
- “On your marks “
- “Set”
- Starter gun is fired
For distances of 800m and more, the commands will be:
- “Prepare for the start”

- “On your marks”
- Starter gun is fired
If for any reason the starter feels it is necessary to interrupt the process he/she will say
“Stand Up”.
The starting blocks will have a false start detection system and are linked to the false
start console.
9.6 Timing
The official timing will be provided by Time-Tronics and will be displayed on the official
electronic timing instrument and photo finish cameras provided by time-Tronics. For all
races of 800m or more, the elapsed time will be displayed on electronic timers located at
the end of each straight.
9.7 Leaving the stadium during the competition
An athlete may only leave the competition area when accompanied by a judge. The
intention has to be communicated to the Referee.
9.8 Leaving the stadium after the competition
After the competition, athletes leave immediately the infield (accompanied by a judge)
through the mixed zone where media interviews can be carried out.
9.9 Protests and Appeals
Protests are permitted and will be processed in accordance with IAAF Rule 146.
In the first instance, protests must be made orally to the Referee by the athlete
himself/herself or by a responsible official acting on his/her behalf (Rule 146.3). Where the
appropriate Referee is not accessible or available, the protest should be made to him
through the TIC. Protests concerning the result or conduct of an event shall be made

within 30 minutes of the official announcement of the result of that event (posted on the
TIC information board).
If the final decision of the Referee is not satisfactory a written appeal can be
submitted to the Jury of Appeal also through the TIC. Any written appeal to the Jury of
Appeal must be signed by a responsible official on behalf of the athlete and submitted
to TIC within 30 minutes after the official announcement of the decision made by the
Referee. When submitting an appeal form, a deposit of EUR 75, as set in the rules, must
be paid. If the protest is unsuccessful, the deposit will not be returned. The Jury’s decision
will be provided in writing through the TIC.
9.10 Doping Control
9.10.1 General Information
Doping control shall be conducted in accordance with IAAF Rules and Anti-Doping
Regulations under the supervision of the European Athletics Technical Delegate. Both
urine and blood samples may be collected immediately before, and during, the Cup.
Athletes selected for doping control shall be informed by anti doping officials.
Athletes will be required to sign a confirmation of notification. Athletes who are to be
tested may invite a team official to accompany them to the Doping Control Centre
(DCC).
A selected athlete should report immediately to the DCC unless there are valid
reasons for delay. All selected athletes will be accompanied by a trained chaperone or
Doping Control Officer from the time of notification until arrival at the DCC. Athletes are
reminded that refusal to provide a sample can render them liable to disqualification and
may lead to further disciplinary action.
Athletes who are required to use prescribed medication for the treatment of a medical
condition should ensure that they have registered their medication, where necessary,
through the Therapeutic Use Exemption system prior to attending the event.
9.10.2 Selection of Athletes

The selection of athletes for control will be made on a final position and/or random basis
under the supervision of the European Athletics Technical Delegate. In addition, the
selection of further athletes may be ordered at the discretion of the European Athletics
Technical Delegate.
All athletes setting World or European records must report to the DCC to provide a
sample. Failure to provide a sample will result in the record not being ratified.
9.10.3 Additional Controls
Additional athletes, such as those achieving National Records who have not been
selected for doping control, may present themselves for testing. These athletes must
report to the TIC where they will have to complete the “Doping Control Request Form”.
They will then be escorted to the DCC.
The cost of this control will have to be paid for on site by the requesting club to the
LOC. Price per one check is 300.00 euro.

10. Medical Services
10.1 General
The medical service is in charge of any medical assistance to the athletes, the team
leaders, the competition organization, the information personnel, the honorary guests as
well as, during the competition, to the spectators in the stadium.
In case of an emergency please contact the nearest medical aid team or via the
competition management team or the TIC.
Dr D. Stol (till 2:00 pm) and Dr M. Hulleman (from 13:00 pm) are in charge of the
medical service on May 24th.
10.2 Medical Services in the Hotel(s)
The emergency service in the hotel will be reach at the LOC information desk at the
hotel or at the front office of the hotel. In case of an emergency dial 112.
10.3 Medical Care at the stadium
The stadium medical service is responsible for any problems concerning the athletes’
health. There is also a room for medical attention next to the finish line. The team doctor
has access to the medical service facilities (not on the infield) when an athlete of his/her
own team is hurt or is in need of other medical attention. The stadium medical service is
also responsible for first aid in the warm up area. There are well equipped physiotherapy
facilities at the warm up area.
There are two first aid teams on the infield and one additional first aid team at the
warm up area, all marked with red crosses. The teams are supervised by a doctor.
10.4 Physiotherapy
A space will be reserved in the Warm-up Area for physiotherapy. The physiotherapy
rooms are not equipped with anything (teams will need to bring their own tables, etc.)
and will be open from May 24th from 7:30 am until 9:00 pm until.

10.5 Insurance
The participating teams are responsible for taking out their own insurance to cover illness
or injury to any member of their team when travelling to and from European Athletics
competitions and during the event itself (European Athletics Regulation 610.12). Please
take the necessary steps to fulfill these requirements well in advance.

11. Security
Instructions given by the LOC, the security personnel and the police must be followed in
all areas at all times, as well as during transport from one location to another.
The accreditation card must be worn at all times. If an accreditation is lost, this should
be reported immediately to any LOC information desk.

12. Ceremonies
12.1 Opening Ceremony
The opening ceremony will start at 10:00 am and will take about 10 to 15 minutes. From
each team, one athlete in the official teams clothing will participate in the opening
ceremony.
The opening ceremony consists of a flag parade in which the teams will be
introduced, followed by a short welcome word by the organization.
The teams will receive more information about the opening ceremony in a mail
from the organization and during the technical meeting.
12.2 Victory Ceremonies
The victory ceremonies for the winning teams Men and Women will take place at the
competition venue. The victory ceremony will start as soon as possible after the last
event. Athletes must wear the official team clothing at the ceremonies.
12.3 Closing Ceremony
The Closing Ceremony will take place directly after the victory ceremonies. After the
closing ceremony, the closing dinner will start (will be served at the stadium).

13. Departure
Teams need to provide full travel details in the final entry system. When there are any
changes to the preliminary confirmed details, the team should inform the LOC as soon as
possible (May 23rd latest) via mail, at the LOC information desk in the hotel or at the TIC in
the stadium.
Departure times of the shuttle buses from the hotel will be provided and displayed at
the LOC Information Desk on Saturday May 24th.
All outstanding fees, charges and possible other expenses must be settled with the
cashier.

Appendix 2 – Event draw
The event draw has been performed by György Smoczer (Technical Delegate) and
Sandrine Glacier (EA – representative) on April 1st and is available on the event website
(http://www.ecccamsterdam2014.com). In case that one of more teams redraw from
the event, the draw will be adjusted and published on the website. The final start lists will
be distributed during the technical meeting.
The letters from the event draw correspond with the numbers for the specific events. For
all jump and throw events and for run events above 800m, this number corresponds with
the sequence of start lists. For all run events until and including 800m and all relays, the
number corresponds with the lane allocation (see last 2 tables of Appendix 2).
