OPEN EVENT Athletes from all over the world can participate! See eligibility requirements! COMPETITION RULES World Taekwondo Poomsae Competition Rules & Interpretation, in force as of May 14, 2019 COMPETITION SYSTEM Cut off system: Preliminary round: all athletes shall perform 2 compulsory or chosen Poomsae

with in between max. 60 seconds break. Semi-finals: top 50% of the preliminary round athletes shall perform 2 compul-

sory or chosen Poomsae with in between 60 seconds break. Finals: top 8 of the semi-final round athletes shall perform 2 compulsory

or chosen Poomsae with in between a 60 seconds break. Each athlete shall video record max. 3 videos:

• Video 1 Preliminary Round: video record 2 poomsae with max. 60 sec-onds break between the poomsae.

• Video 2 Semi-final: video record 2 poomsae with max. 60 seconds break between the poomsae.

• Video 3 Final: video record 2 poomsae with max. 60 seconds break be-tween the poomsae.

On 27 April, Taekwondo Europe will announce how many athletes are participating at each medal event and thus informing all athletes on how many videos they have to submit.

SUBMISSION OF VIDEO RECORDINGS Rules on video recording and submissions:

1. Deadline to send the email with video submissions is: 28 April 2020, 23:59 CET

2. The poomsae performance can be video recorded outside or inside. Follow strictly the instructions from your local and national health authorities with regard to going outside! #StaySafe #StayHome #EveryOneCanCompete #UnitedAgainstCovid19

3. At all times, the athlete shall be 100% full body inside the screen. The camera is allowed to move.

4. The video recording shall be done while the athlete is facing the camera in the start position. The camera can be moved in an angle left and right as indicated below:

5. Each athlete shall video record max. 3 videos, depending of the number of rounds in the medal event:

• Video 1 Preliminary Round: video record 2 poomsae with max. 60 sec-onds break between the poomsae.

• Video 2 Semi-final: video record 2 poomsae with max. 60 seconds break between the poomsae.

• Video 3 Final: video record 2 poomsae with max. 60 seconds break be-tween the poomsae.

6. Each athlete shall upload the videos at YouTube separately. At the end, de-pending on the number of rounds, 1, 2 or 3 videos are uploaded at YouTube and the link(s) shall be sent to the following email address: [email protected]

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

1. Member of a Member National Association of World Taekwondo; 2. Holder of a national or Kukkiwon Dan/Poom certificate or 4th Kup and higher 3. An athlete in order to be eligible for participation must be born in:

Color belt divisions: • Kids 1 – color belt: (birth year: 2012 – 2014) • Kids 2 – color belt: (birth year: 2009 – 2011) • Cadet (birth year: 2006 – 2008)

Black belt divisions: • Kids 3 (birth year: 2009 – 2011) • Cadet (birth year: 2006 – 2008) • Junior (birth year: 2003 – 2005) • Under 30 (birth year: 1990 – 2002) • Under 40 (birth year: 1980 – 1989) • Under 50 (birth year: 1970 – 1979) • Under 60 (birth year: 1960 – 1969) • Under 65 (birth year: 1955 – 1959) • Over 65 (birth year: 1954 or earlier)

28 April: 23:59 CET: Deadline for submitting video links by email 3 May: 12:00 CET: Publication of participation lists per division INTERNATIONAL REFEREES A total of 20 International Referees are selected for refereeing at the event. All athletes will be evaluated by a jury of 5 WT International Referees - selected from all continents - with an active WT IR-license. A list of selected WT International Referees shall be published before start of the event. ATHLETE INSTRUCTION Taekwondo Europe will give a LIVE online instruction for all athletes on the video re-cording and upload process on 27 April 2020 at 19:00 hrs. The link will be shared at our social media platforms.

AWARDS Individual awards Medals and Certificates will be awarded to all medalists and shall be sent to all medal winner’ home address. 1st place: gold medal and certificate 2nd place: silver medal and certificate 3rd place: 2 bronze medals and certificates Prizes for social media activity Athlete’ video with most likes: 250 euro Daedo voucher Most shared video award: 250 euro Daedo voucher LIST OF POOMSAE TO BE PERFORMED Color belt (4th – 1st Kup): Free of Choice Poomsae The color belt Kids 1, Kids 2 and Cadet categories can choose their own 2 Poomsae from below table. All athletes shall perform two (2) different Poomsae free of choice in the preliminary round and two (2) other different Poomsae in the semi-final. In the final, the athlete can choose two (2) different Poomsae excluding the ones already performed in the preliminary round and semi-finals. All poomsae performed have to be different.

Black belt: Designated Compulsory Poomsae Two (2) Poomsae from designated Compulsory Poomsae decided for each division must be performed for all the preliminarily, semi-final and final rounds for all competitions. Compulsory Poomsae to be assigned for each division shall be decided at the time of drawing of lots by Technical Delegate in consultation with the WTE officials.

Publication Taekwondo Europe will announce the all Designated Compulsory Poomsae during the LIVE online athlete instruction session for video recordings and upload process and technical instructions on:

WT POOMSAE COMPETITION UNIFORM Athletes can only use WT recognized products while participating at the event. See a list of recognized products at: http://www.worldtaekwondo.org/wtf-partners/recognized/ Athletes are free to use the standard white dobok or the official competition dobok. If the official WT Competition dobok is used, the following dobok shall be worn as indi-cated below: Cadet Division (Ages 12-14): White top with red and black collar, plus blue pants for males; the same top, but with red pants, for females.

Junior and Senior Division (Ages 15 – 50): White top with dark blue pants for males; white top with light blue pants for females.

Master Division (Ages 51 and up): Yellow top and dark blue pants for both males and females.

SPORT ENTRIES This competition is open for GMS members and WT license holders (event pass hold-ers) as well as non-WT license holders. If you are not registered in the GMS and have no WT license (event pass), please follow the strict rules on application for the event! GMS REGISTERED ATHLETES and WT LICENCED ATHLETES: Individual entries will be accepted through the WT GMS online registration system Simply Compete. Payment reference FULL NAME AND WT LICENCE NUMBER Example: Azza Fouly: EGY-2697 PROOF OF PAYMENT REQUIREMENT All teams are required to send proof of payment (copy of bank transfer) to [email protected] within one (1) week after registration in Simply Com-pete. Taekwondo Europe has the right to delete sport entries from teams that do not send proof of payment from the system in order for other athletes to register and to prevent ‘ghost athletes’. Any athlete registering on-line who does not take part in the competition and who has not been removed from the entry list before the deadline (25 April 2020), is liable for paying his/her entry-fee in full. NO REFUND Taekwondo Europe does not refund entry fees paid. It is the responsibility of each registered athlete to ensure and guarantee that sufficient insurance coverage has been arranged for themselves. MEDICAL INSURANCE All participating athletes at WTE events shall have mandatorily a medical insurance that covers medical care and in case of emergency, repatriation to the country of origin, valid on the days present in the host country of the event. WTE nor the Organizing Committee shall be responsible to cover any medical costs incurred for medical treatment before, on or during the competition or repatriation in the broadest sense of the word. All relevant documents proving that such an insurance is present, including insurance policy papers, should be taken to the event in case a medical situation occurs.
