In front of the hearth

In a month is the most important family celebrations- Xmas

Eve and Xmas Night. The family sits cozily in front of the hearth. When we are together we are happy. Love and

warmth fill our hearts. In my mind I’m wishing about my family- to be together, to love and to forgive. I wish health

and happiness for many years on. Then I’m wishing about the world- to be better, no wars and misery. People to be

kinder to each other, more understanding and happy. Then, Xmas fire glistens in my eyes and I fell that my wishes

are becoming true and every person and creature hear my appeal to a better world.

COLEDARIOn the 25th December, early in the morning, young single boys pass door to door, bringing wishes for

rich harvest, health and fertility of people and animals. The farmers gift them with home-made

bread rings (Kravaitche) and dried fruit.

Christmas Gosho and his family are having Xmas dinner. He wishes

it was snowing, because it was raining for days. Suddenly Gosho realized snow wasn’t so important. He looked at

his smiling parents, beautifully laid table and the decorated Xmas tree so he thought that the celebration

itself is important. When Gosho was preparing for sleep, he looked out

of the window and saw it was snowing. He sprang with joy. He quickly went to bed and fell asleep. Gosho woke

up and saw the good old man- Father Christmas. He got out of the bed and approached him. Father Christmas

turned and invited Gosho for a ride in the magic sleigh.

The boy happily agreed, put on his coat and boots and went off.

Gosho asked where the snow came from. “Dear Gosho, snow is a good magic.” said Father

Christmas. “Well, who makes this magic?”

Father Christmas said it was The Nature Fairy. The Sun began to rise. The night was going

away. Father Christmas turned the sleigh and took Gosho back to his bed.

Good-bye Father Christmas. See you next Xmas! Gosho looked at the door and saw his mum. She

hugged him and gave him a gift- a beautiful red car.

Such was another magic Christmas.

Burns at night a star

Just above us sparkles it

In our souls

Hope there is

Christmas, holly you are.”
