Since its creation in 1999, EuroSIMA has admirably fulfilled its mission as the voice of the European boardsports industry. Our association has become a key figure as well as a reliable tool to support the companies in our industry.

After 6 years as President, I am happy and proud to have contributed to the development of the association, with the help of my collaborators on the board and our various partners.

Our cluster has successfully weaved a strong network encouraging closer ties between players of the private sector, but also with training centres and educational programs, research laboratories and public institutions. Thanks to this excellent work, in 2011 the cluster was officially recognized by the French government as a “business cluster”. It is something we are lucky to have and that many industries envy us for.

Today, amidst a difficult economy, our list of members continues to grow. Our strength is in our ability to stick together and always look towards the future.

2013 shall be a year of consolidation. We will concentrate our efforts on the top priority projects of the boardsports industry: promoting our values and our sports, defending our interests, conquering new markets, training our personnel and future employees and developing competitive advantages for our industry.

We will also head towards unchartered territories in the fields of innovation to better anticipate the possibilities that emerging technologies may have to offer: new multimedia interfaces, sales force automatization, eco design, etc.

Finally, EuroSIMA will see the development of its new internal organization in favour of a more transversal structure to match the evolution of the current industrial environment.

Through all this, we hope to encourage new companies to join us in order to increase our numbers in the coming years and to continue representing the values that unite us all.
