1.In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?

• Like a lot of professional magazines I have seen use the same colours throughout the cover, contents and double page spread and I believe mine does that

This red theme is continued throughout

The bold style of writing outlined is repeated

Like the professional magazine it has a big cover image surrounded by a lot of text

The barcode with name date and price on which all magazines have

It also challenges forms of real media products through its design for instance the names are presented in a similar way to Hip hop magazine xxl also similar to magazines the names are to try entice people to buy it so people that are interested in hip hop and know these names will want to buy it because it appeals to themLike the image on the right you can see

the vary in text and in my magazine the varied text as well also the special issue could be a unique selling point and get people to buy it

I added these plugs to try attract the readers as I have seen magazines use this a lot

I then added a banner which again is another magazine convention and again to try attract the reader and tell them a bit about what’s inside the magazine

This again is a plug advertising a subscription so if people like it they can access the magazine every time an issue is brought out

Text from the editor to make it more personal to add more of a sense of community

Bold text with red and white to continue the theme and issue no and cover date to let the reader know

The variation of text with the theme in mind drop shadow used on lady fire to make it stand out, and killa h with an exclamation and cool text to show this is important and draws your eyes to it
