EVALUATION 6

What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product

Sites I used to construct my product:Blogger: I use this website to put all of my coursework on, I make individual blog posts with pictures and videos if appropriate. It enables me to be able to view my teacher’s blogs where they post hints and tips on how to make our blogs as good as possible as well as posting our deadlines. I have learnt how to keep my blog looking as professional as possible and keeping it up to date with my project deadlines. Prezi and Examtime: These two websites I have used as alternatives to PowerPoint or posting straight onto blogger. Prezi is a presentation website and I like to use it because it makes the presentations a bit more interesting and aesthetically pleasing. Whereas, I’ve used ExamTime to do all of my mind maps and initial ideas, it lays it all out very clearly but also allows you to focus in on certain bubbles for further reading. Both of these websites allow me to embed the presentations right on to Blogger.SlideShare: I have used slideshare a lot throughout my whole project, it is a site that allows you to upload PowerPoint presentations and Word documents onto it and gives you different options on how to share it from a link to embedding. I chose to embed my presentations as it makes it easier for the viewers of my blog to access the information I’ve given. The two images of my blog are examples. The first image shows how my blog posts are in order of and how I decided to name them. The second image is an example showing how I follow my teachers blogs and by doing this I can keep up to date with what I am required to do.

Hardware and Software I used to create my product.

IMovie: When it came to deciding what software I would use I decided to go with software that I already had a basic understand of and the issues of price to buy other software's. IMovie is professional software but laid out so anyone could use it, even though I had used it before there were some things I was unable to do but through the search tools I was able to learn easily how to do them and gain these new skills.HP computer:This is my laptop and so it makes sense that I do most of my coursework on here, it is a light piece of hardware but, because its so light it had very low disk space meaning it is amazing for online and Microsoft processing. I found that using a laptop I was able to bring my blog with me anywhere, enabling me to work on the move.

IPhone 6s: Due to the fact that I don’t have a camera and didn’t have enough money to buy a proper camera, I decided to use my phone. I have an IPhone 6s which means that the camera is very good, it has an 8 megapixel camera with various other settings which have made my filming go very smoothly. I was worried that my Phone’s quality would not be good enough but from looking at my finished work I think I made the right choice.MacBook Pro: I originally wanted to download IMovie onto my laptop but when I tried I did not have enough disc space so, very kindly my Dad let me use his Laptop for editing and creating my final work. The only problem I had with this is that my dad uses his laptop for work and would sometimes be away so I wouldn’t always be able to work on my final edit when I wanted too.

Social Media:

Youtube: To enable my audience to see my film opening I thought it would be best accessed through YouTube. Youtube is a video sharing site and it is viewed in masses. To upload my video to their site it was very simple, extremely user friendly. I have used Youtube a lot through out the course, I have used it to help research different film openings; songs and production companies.Twitter: I have used Twitter to try and spread the word about my film but also to post my film on to get audience feedback. I have found that it has been very effective using twitter, it has gained me a world of response that I didn’t think I would achieve from one site alone.

My account. An example of one of the tweets I sent out about my film.
