I posted all my production pieces on a popular social networking site for audience feedback. With my film trailer the feedback I received was all positive. The majority of the people that gave me feedback were aged 17 - 18, but one of the individuals was aged 30+. They still however gave positive feedback. From this I can see that my production does not only appeal to a younger audience, but to an older one as well.

One criticism I received was about a typing error on the billing block I produced in my trailer. I spelt the name of one of my cast members wrong.

From this I have learnt that simple mistakes can be made with text graphics, so therefore a complete spelling and grammar check has to be in place before the product is published. This will make the product look more professional and accurate.

From this feedback I received some constructive criticism. From this I have learned that I should publish my productions to the audience first to get feedback and then work from this to publish a more successful product.

The audience feedback I received can be linked to the audience reception theory. As this theory explains, how the audience interprets a text is all dependant on their circumstances.

As with my text, there has been some criticism with my work, however another individual may visualise the piece differently and criticise my work in different aspects.

This theory also suggests that even though the producer and the audience have two completely different readings, by using recognised codes and conventions and audience expectations, the producer can position the audience. With my work I have used certain codes represented by the characters so that I can position the audience to

have some agreed ideas about my production.

From this positive feedback, I can see that I have produceda decent magazine cover. As mentiond it’s ‘well put together and not too much going on at once’. This shows that this magazine appeals to my target audience

Blogger is a recent website that allows anyone to create a blog which allows them to upload anything to their own space. With this media technology I have been able to keep a log of all the work I have produced throughout this course. This has allowed me to upload images, videos, links and slideshows, which has been the basis of most of m coursework. All my research and planning , which is mainly text and image based has been uploaded directly to blogger as a post. This has been a very simple and effective digital method of displaying work as it is broadcasted all over the world for many people to see. It is also very easy to access which also an advantage.

I have used final cut to produce my film trailer production and part of my evaluation. I feel this software is a good piece of digital technology to express creative ideas in the digital eye by creating video with audio. With this software being of a professional standard, it has been possible to portray the conventions of existing film trailer products with this software and make it look professional to the audience. With my evaluation, this software has made it possible to experiment with digital technologies to evaluate my coursework.

I have used final cut to produce my film trailer production and part of my evaluation. I feel this software is a good piece of digital technology to express creative ideas in the digital eye by creating video with audio. With this software being of a professional standard, it has been possible to portray the conventions of existing film trailer products with this software and make it look professional to the audience.
