Crime thrillers are developed around harmful and unfortunateactions of criminals such as ruthless murderers.Our group have chosen a female character as a victim so thatthe audience would feel sympathy therefore there is a certainconnection being made. This idea is conventional to our chosengenre as female characters are usually the chosen victims infilms because they are portrayed as easy and weak. 3. Our media product follows some of thecommon conventions which can be seen incrime and thriller films.I have researched about the conventions ofcrime and thriller films to have a goodunderstanding and better knowledge aboutthis genre.Our media product is quite conventional asthe sound effects we have used is quitecommon to be heard in crime and thrillerfilms. Also, we decided to vaguely show theface of the murderer/killer to get theaudience to think and get involved. InNeverending by Sky light Production (Final product)addition, we have added sounds to build upthe tension which is typical to crime andthriller films. 4. Our media product challenged conventionsby starting the opening sequence with a pastscene showing a girl has been murdered inan alley way. As usually crime and thrillerfilms would build up the story by slowlyintroducing the characters rather thanstraight to the point.
