• The use of the big, plain, bold masthead uses forms and conventions of real media products, for example VIBE magazine. • I done this because it makes a statement on the magazine. It’s the name of the magazine and the first thing that catches the viewers eye when they look at the magazine.

• I noticed that on real media products, when a well known artist is on the front cover, the number of puffs is limited and they are mainly about the artist on the front cover.• I decided to design my magazine to fit this imagine suggesting that the artist on my magazine is well known.

• The use of the strapline is useful as it gives the reader a sneak peak of what else in is inside of the magazine.• I think because I only gave names of artists that is creates more interest in the readers making them want to purchase the magazine to know exactly what is going on inside of it as opposed to giving them a sample of an inside story.

•I noticed that through my research there was a lot of medium long shots so I decided to use a full body shot. •I did this to challenge real media products to show individuality within my magazine.

• I imitated the layout of this contents page, developing it slightly by including more content and less pictures.

• My use of form and conventions are slightly similar to the DRUMMER magazine contents page. • I did this to create a strong contents page for my magazine.

I incorporated both forms and conventions of these double page spreads for my double page spread.

I challenged the idea of having more than one picture on my double page spread and just used one.

Used columns as they are a convention of layout.
