EVALUATION QUESTION 6Learning and using different technologies through the process of constructing this product

BloggerI have used this throughout the whole of my AS media as its how I am presenting my research and planning part of the coursework. I Posted regular updates and followed a tracking sheet to include everything needed. I never knew this existed before so and have never set up an online blog. Therefore it is totally new for me. Also for me it was particularly useful as I got the IOS app for my phone so I could blog any where I wanted.

Memory cardI used a basic SanDisk 16GB SDHC card to film my footage. When looking back I could have got a 8GB storage one but it was very cheap so felt this was better. I put this small card into the camera, shot my footage, checked it (by using a USB adapter into mac or PC at school) then uploaded/saved it to adobe premier pro to start editing. I have had experience before especially with smaller nano and micro sd cards in phones etc.

Camera & TripodPanasonic HC-V130Good camera that was basic to use and I could shoot good quality footage with it. Obviously different from real film productions but in the sort of light I had, which was quite dark, it managed to do well. I had a slight problem with the focus and control but with the footage being blurred it adds to the effect. Through the process I have gained knowledge of how time consuming filming takes and am confident on how to use a standard camcorder.TripodI screwed the camera on the top of the tripod and it felt very safe and secure. I could extend the legs when needed in quick succesion. Although I found it hard sometimes when panning

Abobe software experience and editing on Imovie

At the editing stage of my coursework I to start off used IMovie on mac. I am completed new to this software but have gained some knowledge by going through it with sir. There are lots of elements that are very technical so I have needed guidance with editing my product and have used YouTube tutorials which have helped massively fro beginners eg.cuts,sound,light and effects.

I did create a fairly bad ident on adobe after effects, but wasn’t relivant for my final video, we had some extra tuition however it seemed a difficult and confusing process at times. So to create my final ident I used IMovie again. This was very easy to do as the templates where already available. I went for a basic ident called ‘first row productions and used a black/dark background when it appeared along with the credits.

I have used YouTube lots through the process to search for existing productions and student made productions to analyze and upload videos and link to my blog. I have a good understanding of how YouTube works prior to the coursework, but have also used tutorials on how to use adobe etc. To post videos on to my blog you have to share it and then
