In what ways does your media product use, Develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?
A splash is used here to advertise a competition. This follows the codes and conventions other magazines as they use this to give attention to their offers or main articles they have produced.
This magazine follows the forms and conventions of magazines with the use of direct address, this is used to make the reader feel that they are apart of it A unique font is used once
here for the masthead. This follows the forms and conventions as other magazines use unique and copyrighted fonts to make it different from other magazines and to draw the attention of readers in that see it for the first time
A positioning statement is used here at the top of the page. This follows the forms and conventions other media magazines as it gives people an incentive to buy it and sometimes a catchphrase or a small set of words that people can remember and associate with this magazine.
A main cover line is used here and this follows the forms and conventions of other magazines as it is placed at the bottom with larger and bolder text than the other subheadings to show people that it is the main article and the most important one.

How did you use new media technologies in the construction of your media product
The size is set to ‘International paper’
Main image is added and copied over to my ‘international paper’ page
Main image is then moved to fit the page
The font ‘Mistral’ at size 83 with the strong setting was used for the title
Red circle added in for splash
Font ‘Agency’ size 36 used for text in splash and around the main image
Facing pages option ticked
3 columns added
‘Bodoni MT Black’ font used at size 60 for title
Lines placed around magazine to structure and keep it organised
2 images added to contents page
Yellow circle added
Lines around circle added (Shapes tool)
What are the strengths and weaknesses of both the product and your use in media technologies
Strengths-Splash usedRange of colours
Blue background makes text easy to read
2-3 different fonts used. (Not too many)

Weaknesses-
Main cover line needs to be bigger and stretched more

Weaknesses-Lack of a background colour (Plain)
