What “ FORM” are you looking at?What is the Story/ Journey that is being told?When is the story set?Where are the main location(s)/ Setting?Who are the main characters?
Analyse
How is the story told ? What structure does it use ?(opening, developing & closing scenes ) Does the piece make use of certain Genre – how does it do this? How is it shot? How is it cast / what characters and how acted? How do the locations relate to the action? What evidence of art direction - Use of Colour / lighting / costume / ? How is it edited ( structure, speed, rhythm)? What kind of music, soundscape is used to develop the action?
Interpret
Interpretation /treatment of the subject – depth, qualityWhat does it make you feel & think about ? – Mood,
drama -The writers/ scripted style – objective, subjective,
biased/balanced?Use of character related to interpretation. – quality of

Evaluate
A statement about whether the piece works : A critical and personal judgement about whether all the components
and the artistic and technical interpretation the piece achieves what it set out to do.( its objective)
