EVDO Module Configuration--How to Change Preferred Mode

If there is no special requirement, please don’t change the current mode configuration. If you have to change, please follow the procedures below. Use “remote desktop” connect to MTUIP address: 192.168.100.172. Password: 1234. (make sure before you connect, you should change your laptop IP to the 192.168.100.111) Then enter in “Windows Task Manager” and end process “Excutor.exe and RebornerEx.exe”

If there is no special requirement, please don’t change the current

mode configuration. If you have to change, please follow the

procedures below.

Use “remote desktop” connect to MTU。IP address: 192.168.100.172. Password: 1234. (make sure

before you connect, you should change your laptop IP to the 192.168.100.111)

Then enter in “Windows Task Manager” and end process “Excutor.exe and RebornerEx.exe”

1. Double click the icon “Watcher” on the MTU desktop

2. Enter “Ctrl + D” to enter in MTU configuration mode.

The password is “##debug”

3. Then click “Tools” and choose “Modem Configuration”

4. Enter the authentication password “000000” and click “Submit”

5. Click “System” and choose which mode you want

There are three main modes you can choose: CDMA+HDR (HDR is EVDO, it means high-speed

data rate), CDMA Only and HDR Only.

For example we choose “CDMA+HDR” and click “Save”

6. When we changed EVDO Mode, we need to change the Security(username & password)

The user & password “device_evdo” is for “HDROnly” Mode, if we changed to “CDMA + HDR”

Mode, we need to change the EVDO MDN number (such as 9324491294) to be the user &

password.

7. Then we go to configure the “Security2”, we only need to change the password to be

“password”

Choose “Save” and “Close” to finish this configuration.

8. The “Watcher” will be restart, and then the Module will change to “CDMA+HDR Mode”
