Steps for Event Planning and Promotion at theNonprofit Commons and Tenants of the Nonprofit Commons
1. Develop Active Networking CommunityEvent with your staff and volunteers.
2. Submit for approval for event that happens at the NPC sims by email to Rik (cc Par) all the information about the event including the dates, times, location, special needs, and promotional images. If your event is off NPC, you are submitting for Techsoup promotion approval.
3. Event is approved by Glitter and Techsoup staff adds the event to the NPC Google Calendar.
4. Techsoup staff promotes the event via various Techsoup and NPC channels including Nonprofit Commons Blog, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Email, Flickr …
5. You are responsible for inworld promotion of your event and through your own groups channels. Send notices through the Nonprofit Commons and Techsoup Groups. Put out posters and make announcements at the Friday NPC Meetings.
Remember, you are responsible for inworld coordination of the event including working with NPC estate managers, volunteer staffing, obtaining sponsors, hiring a DJ, decorating, security, and clean up.
Active engagement and encouragement creates a cooperative community of
responsibility, collaboration, and enthusiasm!
