ENSEMBLES CHECK-IN: Please take the time to check-in at the director’s table in the band parking lot to receive your tournament packet. Each Packet will contain: Color Maps of the campus Prop staging map Final schedule and information Final Seating diagram (see Student Seating section below) Students wristbands for re-entry Yamaha Magazine Package BUS PARKING/ ARRIVAL: See maps for specific directions on how to get to Parking Lot L (please only enter up ramp from Redondo Beach Blvd heading

east). We are only using 1 (one) specific gate for entrance into this parking lot. Please refrain from warming up in the parking lot. It is a safety hazard to have groups warming up while other groups are

parking. Students will receive a wristband when they get off the bus. Directors, Staff, Media, and Pit Crew/Chaperones will need to use

their official WBA Credential for admission to the stadium. If your chaperones wish to sit on the home side, they will be asked to purchase a spectator wristband form the ticket booth. Any volunteers who wish to sit on the home side will need to purchase wristbands at the box office.

SILENT AREAS: The Final Staging/ Exit Areas inside the stadium are designated SILENT AREAS. WARM-UP: Please ask your percussion sections to warm up facing away from the stadium. Color guards warm up only in the field area marked color guard warm up, with any music playing away from the stadium. This is a large field that is best for guards to stretch, spin, toss, etc. It is the absolute best place on campus for them. NOTE: there is performance on Haag Recital Hall that starts at 5pm. (building directly to the South of warm up on the map). Additional volunteers will be in the area to help, however those that maybe effected by this timing may have an adjust warm zone in a parking lot, that information will be updated as soon as it is available and instructions will be given out at check in. STAGING AREA: The final staging area prior to competition is located at the north side of the stadium, where you’ll enter through the tunnel***If you have props, the tunnel is quite wide and approx. 11 ft. tall. If you cannot fit, you may use the band exit to enter *** PROP DROP OFF: Prop Drop off is accessed through the Manhattan Beach Blvd. entrance to Lots C & D, down a drive towards the stadium. The available drop off area is quite long and narrow and curves around the stadium on the northeast side (see accompanying map). Please have enough volunteers to unload in the designated area. You can return props here after your performance and pick up via the Lot C/D entrance later or you can take your props back across campus to your trucks in Lot L. Please see walking map. PERFORMANCE AREA: El Camino Murdock Stadium is a new multi-million-dollar facility with turf and an all-weather track. The stadium height is high, with plenty of seating with terrific views. The band entrance is located at the north east end of the stadium on the home side. You will enter through a tunnel onto the field. FIELD & HASH MARKS: This is a turf college football field with high school hash marks added. The high school hash marks will be yellow. ELECTRICAL POWER: There will be one extension cord available for you to plug into for electronic/ power needs on the track at the 50-yard line.

ANNOUNCER: WBA uses a standard script. The standard script starts 3 minutes 30 seconds prior to your listed performance time. BAND FIELD EXIT: Please exit the field through the south gate (near Spectator Entrance/Box Office), not back through the tunnel. MOTOR VEHICLES: NO STREET LEGAL VEHICLES PERMITTED INSIDE THE STADIUM. Motorized vehicles (golf carts, john deer gators) only are allowed inside the stadium. Each band is responsible for the transportation of their equipment to and from the stadium. Any full-size street vehicle (car or truck) may be brought near the stadium by coming through Lot C/D entrance off Manhattan Beach Blvd. and following the drive to the PROP DROP OFF area if you need to unload props. There is no parking allowed there. Pit equipment will be pulled from the bus/truck parking Lot L as shown on the walking map attached. PIT/PERCUSSION INSTRUCTIONS: Pit equipment and support vehicles should report to the band entrance tunnel in front of your band (northeast side of stadium on home side). They do not need to be there earlier than your band…just in front of your band. It’s highly recommended giving your pit plenty of time to get to the staging area. Navigating El Camino should be easy as there are plenty of wide, smooth pathways. Please pay attention to the walking map enclosed, as there will be areas closed for construction during our tournament. Timing from Lot L to band entrance is approximately 10 mins and from Warm Up Area to band entrance is 5 mins. ADJUDICATORS COMMENTS: The WBA uses a software program called Competition Suite. Please refer to the WBA web site under forms to make sure you are signed up for this before you arrive. STUDENT/ CHAPERONE SEATING: Students will be able to be seated on the home side, with re-entrance allowed with performer wristband. The student sections are at both ends of the home side seating, and a chart is enclosed to guide your students to their designated area. **Subject to Change, based on responses from survey. CONCESSIONS: There will be concessions offering food and beverages: a snack stand, one food truck and two food booths. Burgers, hot dogs, tacos, pulled pork sandwiches, tortas, pasta bowls, taquitos, fries and burritos will be available along with many delicious sides. Smoothies, funnel cakes, fruit cups, kettle corn and churros along will also be available. Your support of our concession sales and vendors is greatly appreciated. Be sure to bring cash if possible, as not all vendors accept credit cards. Food preparation of any kind on the campus except for the official concession stand is prohibited. No BBQ, fires, or open flames permitted anywhere on El Camino College property. STAFF VIEWING/SOUND MIXING: Lower level viewing is available on the side line. There will be an upper level reserved section at the 50-yard line. Please have your WBA credential visible. CRITIQUE: Critique is available for those bands who registered to attend. Critique information available on the resource page of the WBA website. Location will be on the track, side 1, unless otherwise communicated.
