The Pompadour Ballroom is the largest event space at Hotel Café Royal. The Grade II listed room and its original, ornate detailing have been sensitively restored to create a grand space for celebrations such as receptions, launches, fashion shows and weddings. The Louis XVI style room has a series of uted Corinthian pilasters and mirrored panels with gilded frames, and its ceiling is decorated with frescos depicting scenes of love.
At the far end of the room, large double doors open on to a pillared outdoor terrace with views on to the panoramic sweep of Regent Street. The area is equipped with patio heaters and can be dressed to include poseur tables or additional seating.

Restaurants and Bars
The choice of restaurants and bars at Hotel Café Royal – ranging from 19th century opulence to modern-day high-design – are inspiring and stunning environments, in each of them we encourage the artistry of our sta» to also shine through.
A morning co»ee can be indulged in The Café, where patisserie, chocolate and cakes are created by our executive pastry chef in a modern, magniÌcent space looking out over the lower sweep of Regent Street. Afternoon tea can be taken in the Grade II-listed glory of the Oscar Wilde Bar, which has been painstakingly decorated with 45,000 sheets of gold by expert artisans.
At Hotel Café Royal guest chefs who have included the Roca brothers of El Celler de Can Roca and Albert Adrià of elBulli entertain our guests. And, for a cocktail, The Green Bar not only provides an extensive list of botanicals and tonics to choose from but, in true 19th century spirit, our skilled barmen master absinthe experiences for guests too.
