Dear Parents/Guardians, Staff and Students, Our annual Mortlock Schools Swimming Carnival was a very enjoyable event last Thursday and extremely well attended by all our students and parents. It was pleasing to see so many boys and girls pushing themselves in their respective events and I was proud to witness the improvement of many students who did half laps last year and progressed to full lap events this year. The parent support was outstanding so thanks to all of our parents who volunteered their time to do jobs on the day and I know Bolgart and their Principal David Watkins were very grateful for our support as the organisers of the day. I also wanted to say congratulations to our school on winning the event and to Sacred Heart and Bolgart for their participation as events like this would not be possible without these schools. Well done also to our individual student winners and runners-up on the day. For the past two weeks our Years 2-6 students have been participating in tennis coaching lessons on Friday afternoon. The students have been learning basic tennis skills including forehand and backhand shots and we have been lucky enough to have volunteers running the sessions including Jodie Schell, Mandy Bird and Mick McGill. The sessions will continue to run for the next two weeks. Headlice

Can all parents and carers please check their children’s hair for head lice each week. The weekend is a great time to treat hair thoroughly to ensure any chance of infecting others is kept to a minimum. If you do happen to find any lice, can you please let the school know.

Early Close Just a reminder that we have early close this year at 2.30pm every Thursday.
